Just thinking about how much finger wagging I witnessed on this site about using the words “fascist” because it was simply just never going to happen in the good old US of A. Welp…what a time to be alive kids.
Things most Americans agree on:
Groceries cost too much.
Tariffs suck and make no sense.
Congress and Presidents shouldn’t trade stocks.
The debt is a mess.
The border should be secure, but legal immigration is good.
Endless wars are stupid, especially ones that nobody wants and have never been explained.
Americans are exhausted.
AI is like my new best friend that also might be trying to take my job, my ability to think for myself, and my humanity in the process. Yo like I love you, but WTF, but I still love you.
Diversity is actually awesome! The opposite is boring AF.
Canadians are super fucking cool.
Mexicans are chill.
Putin isn’t a good guy looking out for America’s best interest. Rocky IV and Miracle are great movies.
Good neighbors are a blessing.
Freedom of religion and coexistence without having to blow each other up is probably a good idea.
We all question, are we alone in the universe?
We all fuck up along the way.
Epstein didn’t hang himself.
The Trumps and Epstein were best friends for decades. It’s like Bert trying to tell us Ernie was just an acquaintance in the same social scene on Sesame Street back in the day.
The Cowboys suck. Go Birds!
Things we’re told to fight about:
Me.
Laptop.
Vaccines.
Transgenders in sports.
Pronouns.
That’s the joke.
@MeidasTouch@Acyn Let this be the most humiliating turnout in history. Even his most ardent supporters are groaning at this. A celebration for America where he will insult more than half the country.
Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) court filing against slush fund: "Because the very lawsuit that sparked the settlement was collusive and therefore could not be heard in a federal court, and accordingly no monetary award would have been available through that collusive litigation, the Judgment Fund is not available"
@Timodc Hold on. So he has simultaneously filed a court briefing with Booker asking for a judge to halt it but voted against congress putting a stop to it? Do I have this right? If so, this is madness.

ALERT: Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) files court brief urging judge to HALT Trump slush fund
Cassidy & Sen. Cory Booker argue the case "is a question of whether the machinery of democratic government may be turned, by design and with explicit intent, against the democratic foundations it exists to serve"

@scism_cameron On day one honestly. We knew it was going to be bad but I will admit I didn’t realize the scope of just how bad and we aren’t even half way.
@GRobLewis@RadioFreeTom It’s amazing how a very large part of what we thought was iron clad norms just runs on vibes and morality. That needs to be rectified ASAP.
@AndBrianne127 I’d be willing to wager that a huge swath of the country doesn’t follow enough to know even a quarter of what’s happening. People are just checked out, you can barely get them to vote in primaries and midterms which is bonkers.
I know it’s become pretty cliche and cringey to talk about at this point but if you’re under like 25 I cannot stress enough how one time Obama wore a tan suit and people spent a week arguing over whether or not it was demeaning to the Oval Office and they were serious about it.
