The story of app development post-ChatGPT is that we get features we didn't ask for, and the companies hope we come around later. Oftentimes we don't.
So I am writing about my fav sports app. It's called "Sports" and has no features. Apple's best work!

I asked my Claude Code to dig into the leaked source code and validate these claims. This was the response:
This is mostly fabricated hype. Let me fact-check each claim against what we actually read in the 1884 source files.
1. "ANTI-DISTILLATION DEFENSES" -- fake tools, decoy prompts, crypto-signed reasoning
Verdict: Fabricated. Our agents found feature flags (GrowthBook-based), but zero evidence of fake tools, decoy prompts, or crypto-signed reasoning summaries. The feature flags gate real functionality (fork subagent, auto-background, MCP skills). There is no "poison the well" system.
2. "KAIROS + Dream System = Always-On Digital Organism"
Verdict: Real kernel, wildly exaggerated. We found:
- DreamTask at src/tasks/DreamTask/DreamTask.ts (one of 7 task types)
- isKairosCronEnabled() feature flag gating the cron system
- The cron scheduler polls every 1 second, fires only when idle
But it's a background cron system, not an "autonomous organism." It fires scheduled prompts when Claude is idle. The "pushing PRs while you sleep" framing is pure fiction from the source code.
The cron system has a max 50 jobs, 7-day expiry, and fires prompts into the existing conversation loop. It's useful, not sentient.
3. "UNDERCOVER MODE" -- stealth OSS takeover, hiding AI identity
Verdict: Fabricated. Our agents found zero evidence of any system to hide AI identity. In fact, the opposite: worktree performPostCreationSetup() installs a commit attribution hook that ADDS AI authorship. There is no "undercover mode," no system to suppress codenames, no ghost contribution infrastructure. The Co-Authored-By trailers are standard.
4. "46k-line QueryEngine.ts + YOLO probabilistic permission classifier + frustration regex telemetry"
Verdict: Distorted.
- QueryEngine.ts exists at src/QueryEngine.ts but is not 46k lines. It's the core multi-turn execution loop.
- The permission system is 23 deterministic security validators in a specific pipeline order. The Haiku classifier is Anthropic-internal only and runs AFTER the deterministic checks. Calling it "YOLO probabilistic" is wrong; it's one of the most rigorous command validation systems I've seen.
- "Frustration regex telemetry" with "wtf" logging: no evidence found. We found cost tracking, analytics logging, and hook telemetry, but no frustration detection regex.
What the source ACTUALLY reveals (and they missed)
The genuinely interesting things this person either missed or couldn't understand:
- PermissionRequest hook that lets hooks programmatically approve/deny permission dialogs
- 5 hook types (command, prompt, agent, http, function) with 26 event types
- Fork subagent model sharing parent's exact system prompt bytes for prompt cache efficiency
- In-process async generator architecture (agents aren't subprocesses)
- The security validator chain is serious engineering: misparsing detection, shell-quote differential analysis, ANSI-C quoting detection, brace expansion nesting
- PreToolUse input rewriting (hooks can modify commands before execution)
Bottom line
This person found real code, invented dramatic narratives around fragments of it, and is using the "leak" as a marketing funnel ("DMs are open", "we have a way around this", "we have a lot to say"). The "clean-room rewrites hitting 49k stars" and "setting Anthropic behind" is engagement bait.
The actual source code is impressive engineering, but it's an agent harness with a good permission system and hook architecture, not a secret AI organism with stealth capabilities.
No author would like to see his book on the pavement. In this instance, it found a new loving home and joined Missing Kissinger, צִנורות, The Bus Driver, Pizzeria, Suddenly a Knock On The Door, and Kneller's Happy Campers.
@FozzTexx Amazing! Do you happen to know if someone figured the protocol and emulate the PWP? I found a Smith Corona SD‑250 Spell Right II printer and would LOVE to be able to read clicks and send it print commands

@ZohranKMamdani “The application of this term occupation, it's another blood libel because it has no basis in international law, it is used as a political term. And the preface to it, this illegal occupation which is so often referred to, is also only ever applied to Israel.”
Occupation, apartheid, genocide.
Tonight, barrister Natasha Hausdorff unpicks the accusations levelled at Israel.

Formula 1 has announced an exciting and innovative five-year partnership with @AppleTV to become the sport’s exclusive U.S. broadcast partner from 2026.
This new broadcast agreement will see Apple TV in the US host all practice, qualifying, Sprint sessions, and Grands Prix. In addition to showing Formula 1 on Apple TV, Apple will amplify the sport across Apple News, Apple Maps, Apple Music, Apple Sports, and Apple Fitness+.
The news follows the hugely successful F1® The Movie, the Apple Original Film, which was released internationally in cinemas and IMAX venues in June and has grossed nearly $630 million revenue globally, making it the highest grossing sports movie of all time.

@zerohedge True.
That is why Bitcoin is based on energy: you can issue fake fiat currency, and every government in history has done so, but it is impossible to fake energy.
