Life rarely changes in a positive way without an increase in responsibility.
That can mean taking ownership of your health or committing to a relationship or starting a business.
Whatever it is, if you want the trajectory to change, the amount of responsibility usually has to change.
So I’m watching Citizen TV and I hear this:
Over 400,000 Grade 10 students have dropped out.
The government’s response?
Send chiefs to homes. Threaten poor parents with arrest.
Let’s talk honestly because this is not policy. Its panic.
Most of these parents are poor. We’ve all seen them on the news asking for help.
You can’t threaten poverty away. You can’t arrest hunger into education.
Even if you force these kids back to school this term…
what happens next term?
This is the hard truth we don’t want to say out loud:
public education has been broken.
And as usual, it’s the children of the poor who are left to fend for themselves.
The solution isn’t intimidation.
It’s simple: make Grade 10 education free, or cut fees by at least 80%.
Anything else is just pretending.
And the children will pay the price.
Men,
Man to man: Watching a woman you impregnated suffer alone with your kid while you roam freely chasing other women is the greatest betrayal to your lineage.
Change or Perish !

In 2007, I was in Mombasa covering the elections.
At a polling station, a group of young men outside told me I could vote multiple times and add votes to their preferred candidate without interference.
To test the claim, I walked in and out of the station several times, and no one questioned me.
I didn’t cast multiple votes, but it was clear the system was wide open to abuse.
This wasn’t particularly shocking.
Fast forward to the vote counting at the tallying center—it was evident the process was largely ceremonial.
On the second or third day, as results trickled in,
I was standing next to the personal assistant of a senior politician.
The PA, who was a friend, received a call on his boss’s phone while the politician argued in a corner with election officials.
He excused himself and stepped aside to answer.
A few minutes later, the PA returned visibly shaken.
Despite his boss’s apparent lead in the results, he looked disturbed.
Leaning in, he whispered, “Mambo si mazuri.”
To cut a long story short, he told me as a friend to pack my bags and leave Mombasa immediately.
When I asked why, he explained that a high-ranking politician had called to question why Mombasa wasn’t up in flames like other parts of the country.
At the time, there were reports of unrest in several parts of the country.
Shortly after the message was relayed to his boss, violence broke out in parts of Mombasa that evening.
It was obvious there were people on standby and on speed dial.
What followed is now a painful history, no point in recounting.
The saying is true,
One tree can make a million matchsticks, but one matchstick can burn a million trees.
This is what I learnt in my journalism career;
To SOME politicians,
"We are just numbers"
"We are extensions of their play"
"We are tools for their ambitions"
"We are shadows in their spotlight"
Fellow Kenyans,
"Listen to what politicians are not saying in what they are saying."
We are flesh and blood and we will NOT be the fuel for their rise.
KNEC is probably one of the most corrupt government agencies, yet nobody bothers to call them out.
Schools that were caught cheating bribed their way out of the mess.
Then, the headteachers of these schools will be celebrating fraudulent results.
"It was due to God and the hard work of our teachers and learners," says a headteacher of a girls' school caught cheating but bribed their way out.
What lessons are we teaching our children?
We are teaching them that stealing and cheating are normal ingredients in the journey of success.
Then, when these children become adults and join the government, they continue with the culture of cheating and stealing.
Members of parliament write dishonest laws to perpetuate dishonesty and theft.
Judges write dishonest jurisprudence to perpetuate dishonesty and theft.
Then citizens start asking themselves:
"What is wrong with our government?"
There is nothing wrong.
Governments are run by people.
— and if these people are products of a fraudulent education system, then the entire government system will be dishonest, corrupt, and inefficient.
It all starts with our education.
If KNEC can't secure a credible, tamper-proof examination process, how do we expect IEBC to ensure a credible electoral process?
How do you expect a court case to undergo a credible, fair, and tamper-proof judicial process?
A national examination doesn't just test academic principles but also our values, morals, and ethics.
Education is what shapes the ethos of a nation.
• Behaviour
• Character
• Integrity
• Hardwork
• Values
 Morals
• Attitudes
These attributes are formed in school and tested in an examination.
We are led by FOOLS, elected by fools.
Anna, Steve 'Mbisi' Sammy Kavingo's mother, is still waiting for her son's release. He is a shoes' hawker based at Mlolongo. Can @skmusyoka@DrAlfredMutua and all elected Ukambani leaders ALSO help the Kibwezi East mother recover her son? #EndAbductionsKE
Comrades,
Return to base immediately.
Our freedom fighters who were abducted, their accounts are posting suspiciously, and are not injecting.
We will await @LarryMadowo's thorough interview, as he is the only reliable source we can trust.
I repeat: return to base.
Viva!
Comrades,
We have a simple task for @Kibet_bull to confirm it's him posting:
Make a video next to a TV while it's on and capture yourself while the 9pm news is playing.
Until then, Afande please!
William Ruto has escaped to Ghana.
If anything happens to Kibet Bull,
This country will not be the same again.
We are going to go personal against Oscar Sudi, Kimani Ichung'wa, William Ruto and their cronies.
Take this as a threat!
