@HuntinRegz@GayTiger535@Ooh_Im_Fanceyy Huh? No one else on the roster? The other teams focus on Stewie, not Clark. Why? Because she misses almost all her shots. She’s not a threat.
@HuntinRegz@Ooh_Im_Fanceyy I blame her. She is playing for the USA. She has no right to “get hers.” She played poorly today as the stats show. The threes she took were bad shots. No reasonable person could say otherwise. They don’t want her shooting threes because she misses almost all of them.
@prodreamer1 A foul had already been called so it was a dead ball shot. She needs experience in international competition. She is an excellent distributor and should concentrate on that role. Taking 30 footers is counterproductive. Gets her pulled from the game. Rightly so.
@geauxtigers40@SqueezedReb2 The SEC doesn’t have members in all 50 states and can remove a case depending on where the suit is brought. In any event, I was talking about the patriot league and the Ohio lawsuit. That league can remove that lawsuit if it so chooses because there are no league schools in Ohio.
@geauxtigers40@SqueezedReb2 The NCAA and SEC are unincorporated associations and are considered to be citizens of any state in which there is a member college. Since there are NCAA members in all 50 states, the NCAA can never remove based on diversity.
@BuckHawksSports@conorfsmith@bydylanjohnson He is trying to get a 6th year, arguing one of the years doesn’t count. He lost that challenge. Even if 5 in 5 applies to him (it doesn’t), he is now trying to play 5 seasons in 6 years, in effect 5 in 6. He’s ineligible notwithstanding what this homer state court judge said.
@geauxtigers40@SqueezedReb2 You are confusing personal jurisdiction with diversity jurisdiction. Under federal law, a corporation is a citizen of the state where it is Incorporated and a state where it has its principle place of business. Where it transacts business is irrelevant.

@BuckHawksSports@conorfsmith@bydylanjohnson The Ivy League doesn’t permit graduate students to play. Is that also an illegal restraint of trade? Of course not. Very similar here. The patriot league does not permit a fifth season. It’s a reasonable rule which has been around for decades. It should be enforced here.
@BuckHawksSports@conorfsmith@bydylanjohnson You are conflating NCAA liability (if any) with league liability. They are different entities. The patriot league is simply enforcing a league rule. If this player doesn’t like the league rule, he can play college football in another league.
@KevinRod3js@gbarks_24 The prior years didn’t get 5, they got 4+ a truncated Covid year. Covid is a once in a century event. Not relevant to anything anymore. 2022s were promised four years. They got four years. The rule was changed prospectively. Time to move on and let the younger players play.
@BuckHawksSports@conorfsmith@bydylanjohnson Whether those theories apply against the NCAA, but they don’t apply to the league. No contract between the league and the player. Yes, they don’t need to be a monopoly, but they need to exercise dominant market power. Bottom line there is no antitrust case against the league.
@geauxtigers40@SqueezedReb2 Sure there is diversity. The SEC conference headquarters is in Alabama. I have no idea if they want to remove, but legally they can.
@RedditCFB Really bad look for Villanova. They join the league and in their first game use an ineligible player. Well, the football gods had the last laugh. At least Villanova won’t have to forfeit this game. Lol.
@BuckHawksSports@conorfsmith@bydylanjohnson Maybe the teams in the league do that, but the league itself does not. Putting aside the lack of personal jurisdiction, what is the liability theory? Not antitrust. The patriot league does not dominate the college football market.
@DanKilpatrick3@conorfsmith@bydylanjohnson Not over the defendant. There has to be a basis for personal jurisdiction over the defendant. If you live in Ohio, you can’t sue a mechanic in Alaska who fixed your car while you were on a trip up there.
