May be #PanjabFloods is an apt explanation for people who question the claim of Panjab on the rivers that "start" from Himachal.

Panjab claims on the NATURAL FLOW of water of these rivers - this is what is called being a RIPARIAN state.

So when the rivers flood in Himachal, the water NATURALLY flows down to the plains of Panjab and we SHARE THE FLOODS.

NO artificial canals are now taking in the extra flood water. Rajasthan and Haryana has NO RIGHT to this water because these rivers DO NOT FLOW NATURALLY into these states. Panjab deserves the monetary dues for it's water resources which we give through these canals like we pay to Jharkhand for its coal.

Water disputes are created by politicians and Panjab has always had the short end of the stick.

Satluj, Beas and Ravi flood the plains of Punjab.

It is the Punjab which bears the loss when these rivers flood.

Today, when Punjab is facing floods, flow of water in Rajasthan canal is stopped (see images).

On the other hand large area of Punjab is flooded (see video).
