I tell my students how I've used their feedback to adjust my teaching for two reasons: 1. they need to know what they tell me matters, and 2. it's important they see that everyone can use new information to learn and improve.
Don't say "Girls are just as good as boys at math."
That's well-intentioned, but reinforces the idea that boys are naturally better & girls must work harder.
Do say "Girls and boys are equally good at math." That assumes neither is naturally superior.
