Unlike Indian media, international outlets like @CNN and others don’t have the spine to call it the Nepal–Tibet border. They keep referring to it as the Nepal–China border. At this point, they’re acting more like Chinese government bootlickers than independent media.

Floodwaters rushed down from Tibet, killing over many people and leaving thousands missing, yet the Chinese state media calls it the "Nepal flood."

Just days before the disaster, someone had already filmed the border hydropower construction sites: nonstop blasting, rock crushers roaring away, tunnels forcibly carved into cliffs, with virtually no safety measures and environmental protection nowhere in sight.

Projects like Rasuwagadhi and Upper Trishuli 3A that were washed away—all backed by Chinese capital or Chinese companies.

The State government official line is that it was a glacier collapse blocking the river and then bursting. They lie without even drafting a script! The entire river valley has been turned into a construction zone—blasting, digging, and diverting the riverbed—amplifying the risks.

Tibet has planned over a hundred hydropower dams, and the Jilong border crossing is being bulldozed right into glacier and seismic zones. Power sent east, water discharged south.

Now a landslide dam has formed upstream, liable to burst again at any moment, and downstream Nepal and Bihar in India will be definitely be affected.

Chinese obsession with infrastructure will be their own undoing.

Journey resumes for 106 Nagpur passengers stranded in Nepal

All 106 passengers from Nagpur have safely departed from Kathmandu for Danapur, Bihar.
Following a phone call from CM Devendra Fadnavis, Nepal MP Sandeep Rana arranged four local mini-buses to facilitate their journey from Kathmandu to Janakpur.
The passengers are expected to reach the Janakpur–Bihar border tomorrow morning. Buses have been arranged for their journey to Danapur, Bihar, from where their return journey by train has also been arranged.

In a self-made video, he says, “About 34 of us started our Kailash Mansarovar Yatra on the 23rd (August) and reached here via Kathmandu and Lhasa. On the day of the unfortunate incident, we were in Lhasa. From Lhasa, right now we are in a place called Darchen, which is at the foothills of Mount Kailash. In the background, in fact, you can see Mount Kailash. Here, there are about 500 Indians; all of them are fine and safe. Of course, some of them are travelling back through different routes. We are going back via Lhasa. So, as far as the other travellers’ plans are concerned, to some extent, they were disrupted. But there is no panic here, and all pilgrims are safe, fine and healthy.”

Five elephants were swept away by the devastating floods in Nepal and somehow reached Uttar Pradesh. 💔

What hapened next is truly heartwarming. The Uttar Pradesh rescue and wildlife teams stepped in and safely rescued all five elephants. 🙏❤️

In the midst of such a challenging situation, this is a beautiful example of compassion, courage and humanity towards wildlife.

Deepak Ahuja, 60, and his wife Madhu Ahuja, 57, an Indian-origin US couple on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, have gone missing after devastating flash floods and mudslides struck the Nepal-Tibet border region. The couple was last traced to the Gyirong immigration facility in Tibet on August 26, before they were expected to cross into Nepal through Timure and travel towards Kathmandu.

Their family is now appealing for help as rescue teams race to locate hundreds of people still missing amid severely damaged roads, bridges, power and communication networks. The couple was travelling with a pilgrimage group and had been returning from the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra when the disaster struck.
