@brannonmc I did something similar 7 months ago. I unfollowed most political accounts and put them on a private politics list I created. That way I can still follow/check-in with those voices and conversation if I want, but don’t have it/them in my face everyday by default. Zero regrets!
The new @dtcarypark is a beautiful, well thought out space to spend time with friends and family or by yourself. Sadly, you’ll find it almost impossible to enjoy a good book, quiet conversation, or write your next great novel or screenplay due to the motion sensing speakers… 1/3

I've been thinking about how many people, myself included, responded to Tracy Chapman's performance last night by crying. Why did we cry? What were we crying for? I'll answer my own question below, but I'm curious to hear why other people cried. 1/6
"Curb Your Enthusiasm" is ending with Season 12, which premieres Feb. 4 on HBO and Max. The 10-episode season will conclude with a series finale on April 7.
Larry David says: "As 'Curb' comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this 'Larry David' persona and become the person God intended me to be – the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character."

I’m incredibly honored to have the City Council Meeting intro I created for the @cityofdurhamnc featured in this @indyweek article by Chase Pellegrini de Paur.
Now that the GOV is again giving out free rapid tests (https://t.co/Iqfh5TrnYt)
If you do turn Positive this fall/winter, your rapid test may tell you more about your status (at the time of testing) than you think!
How much time X how dark it gets
Here's how I think about it:
2-year study on 138k COVID patients:
Hospitalized patients still face high health risks after 2 years. Non-hospitalized had 80.4 years of life affected per 1,000 people; for hospitalized, it's a massive 642.8 years.
COVID's long-term toll is VERY real. https://t.co/gxt0ey5WkZ
@LeoniaBatlan@NinthStreetWatc@BikeDurham I grew up in the Northeast where almost all city streets were 25mph or less. When I moved to NC in 2006, I was shocked to learn that the majority of city streets were 35mph. Dropping the speed limit to 20–25mph is a no brainer. Why hasn’t it happened?
@monicabyrne13 The final 3 episodes of season 2 are my favorite. The show puts audience members through hell in Fishes but wildly rewards them if they push through and make it to the final 3 episodes.
@monicabyrne13 The ep. definitely didn’t need to be an hour plus for what it conveyed. And, starting certain characters at an emotional intensity of 11 doesn’t leave them anywhere to go. The final big “blowup” of the episode landed flat to me because I didn’t see the character build up to it.
SAG ACTORS:
I want to talk about AI and how it will affect you.
I’m a former SAG Board Member and former SAG Negotiating Committee member.
I’m also WGA and DGA. 1/
The whole point is to invent robots to do the work no one wants to do, not to invent robots to do the jobs that people love. How are we messing this up so badly
