Police ask your help finding two endangered tortoises stolen from the Indianapolis Zoo.

The Capitol Police section of the Indiana State Police say they were stolen sometime between 10:00 a.m. on October 11th and 10:00 a.m. on October 12th.

One is an Egyptian tortoise and the other is a Northern Spider tortoise both currently listed as critically endangered species.

They are microchipped, and the Egyptian tortoise has a prominent scar on its underside.

Anyone with any information related to this theft is asked to call either the Capitol Police at [phone] or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (317) 262-TIPS (8477).
