Japan is my favorite country on earth. Love seeing Japanese football fans exploring Houston.
A guide to Houston restaurants just for you.
> 1st and most important - don't miss the real Tex-Mex fajitas here. This dish became famous in Houston and spread around the world. Ninfa's on Navigation is the original (good), El Tiempo is better and owned by the family that started Ninfa's (even better), Candente is absolute best right now. Always order beef fajitas and flour tortillas. Never chicken.
- Most people don't know: prime outside skirt steak is the cut you want in top fajita houses in Houston. Only 5% of it remains in the US. Where is 95% of prime outside skirt steak from US going? Exported to Japan.
> BBQ short list - Truth, Pinkertons, Corkscrew are all top tier. Tejas Chocolate + Barbecue, J-Bar-M Barbecue, Killen's are great. But my personal favorite is @BloodBrosBBQ from a fantastic Vietnamese team. Always order the brisket fatty. Just do it.
> Viet-Cajun cuisine was born in Houston - Crawfish & Noodle (the best), South X Saigon, Crawfish Cafe, Cajun Kitchen, Wild Cajun.
> Vietnamese population in Houston is massive - Annam, Huynh (downtown), Nam Giao, Thiên Thanh, Pho Binh, Vinh Hoa (many, many others)
> Chinatown in Houston is massive and amazing. Sinh Sinh (Vietnamese owned Chinese/Vietnamese cooking in Chinatown), Fung's Kitchen (Cantonese), Mala (Sichian). Outside of Chinatown - Silk Road for top level dim sum.
> Mexican - Houston is one of the best cities in US for real Mexican cooking. Taqueria Laredo, Puebla's Kitchen, Urbe, Hugo's, Caracol, Zaranda, Pico's.
> If you miss Japanese food - Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera is one of few sushi restaurants to correctly cook rice best rice, Oru or Kira knows how to age fish properly + they do hand cranked kakigori. Katami, Kata Robata, Aburi are also good.
- Sushi Horiuchi - top level Edomae suhi, closest to top Ginza sushi houses
- Ramen Gachi for best ramen. Not far from World Cup action.
- Pacha Nikkei for Peruvian Japanese. Ceviche Chirashi is really a special dish.
> Kenny and Ziggy's - one of the best Jewish delis in the country. Its strange, but true. You don't have to go to NYC.
> Indian/Pakistani - Aga's, Himalaya, Biriyani Pot, Kiran's, Musaafer
> Michelin level cooking - March, Theodore Rex, Tatemo, Camaraderie, Baso.
- You'll find a danabe pot with pork rice at Theodore Rex, what may be the best steak in Houston at Baso, a pitch perfect tarte flambe at Camaraderie, most refined Mediterranean cooking at March, modern Mexican at Tatemo (sometimes tacos made with A5 Japanese Wagyu)
This is a very small list. Tell me where you are and what you want, and I'll give you local recommendations.

🚨🗣️New: Thierry Henry reacts to the USA vs Paraguay stoppage for TV commercials:
“I’ve spent my entire life in this beautiful game — as a player at the highest level, as a fan, and now as someone who analyses it every week — and what unfolded during that USA versus Paraguay match left me deeply frustrated. The fourth official standing there on the touchline, arm raised high, instructing the referee to hold the restart… not for any injury, not for tactical reasons, and not even primarily for player hydration in that scorching heat. No. It was because the broadcast team hadn’t finished airing all their commercials. That’s not football. That’s a television show pretending to be a World Cup match.
The beautiful game is being strangled by greed. Players are out there in the heat, ready to restart, momentum building like a storm about to break — and we pause everything so the sponsors can cash in. It’s like stopping a symphony mid-crescendo because the advertisers want their jingle heard. Football didn’t conquer the world by turning into American sports with endless timeouts and ad breaks. We had rhythm, flow, emotion that flowed like a river. Now? It’s dammed up for dollars.
This isn’t about hydration or player welfare anymore — it’s a slippery slope where the soul of the game is sold piece by piece. Fans deserve better. Players deserve better. The referee on that pitch looked like a puppet on strings controlled from some broadcast truck. Enough is enough. We need to protect what made this sport the greatest on Earth before it disappears completely.”
The World Cup should be football’s cathedral. Instead, we’re turning it into a shopping mall with a pitch in the middle.
And here’s the question nobody wants to answer: if the fourth official is waiting for commercials, then who is really running the game? FIFA? The referee? Or the broadcasters?
Because the moment football starts asking advertisers for permission before asking the players, you’ve crossed a line.
The World Cup is supposed to be the showcase of football. Not the showcase of who paid the most for airtime.”
🚨NEW -- POILIEVRE BLOWS ROGAN'S MIND

Canada is in the same boat"

Journalist Avery Daye exposes the history of Minnesota Rep Ilhan Omar
“Ilhan Omar — I figured not enough people know about her family’s history, so let’s recap:
Her dad and her grandfather were both high-ranking military officials in the Barre regime, which killed over 200,000 people. They’re most famous for the Isaaq genocide — it was the worst of the worst: aerial bombings, executions, man-made famine.
People massively suffered under this regime, with the help of people like Ilhan Omar’s family who supported the regime and carried out this, this horror.
— They have family ties to this guy known as the Butcher of Hargeisa, and his whole shtick was “kill all but the crows.””
“So the suffering of the people of Somalia was so bad that there was a civil war and the regime was overthrown. Her family fled first to Kenya and then Minnesota, claiming they’re like these asylum seekers.
These poor, poor people. No, no, no, no. They were fleeing to escape being held accountable for what they did. She was not oppressed. Her family, they were the oppressors.”
“So for the Democratic Party to have her as a representative is insane to me — and the way that they’ve like rebranded her as all this poor refugee? No, no. She wasn’t a refugee of war. Her family created the war.”
CNN:
Dana's face as she was forced to sit & listen to a Democratic view on her party & how it pertains to POTUS, the world & dismantling the Islamic grip is priceless!
You all have wanted for so long for the MSM to be forced to have their audience hear opposing and reasonable voices...
Here's another win for We The People! It's really time for everyone to start counting their blessings 🙏
All at the proper timing!🙌

Can you remember the last time Americans agreed on anything like this?
83% support in today’s America is insane.
Voter ID is good for all Americans.
