C’est avec une profonde tristesse que j'annonce le décès de mon oncle, El Hadj Mohamed Touzout, homme d’une grande humilité + une grande sagesse. Durant la guerre d’indépendance, il fut emprisonné avec Fernand Iveton qui fut guillotiné pour avoir soutenu la Révolution Algerienne.

With great sadness, I share the passing of my uncle, El Hadj Mohamed Touzout, a man of great humility and wisdom. During Algeria’s War of Independence, he was imprisoned alongside Fernand Iveton, later guillotined for supporting the Algerian Revolution. Allah Yerahmou.

ببالغ الحزن والأسى، أنعى إليكم وفاة عمي، الحاج محمد توزوت، الرجل الذي كان يتمتع بتواضعٍ عظيم وحكمةٍ بالغة. خلال حرب الاستقلال الجزائرية، سُجن مع فرناند إيفيتون الذي أُعدم بالمقصلة لدعمه الثورة. رحمه الله وأسكنه فسيح جناته.

Honored to host Dr. Mahmoudi Said, Founder/CEO of Chahid Mahmoudi Hospital System (Algeria), and Dr. Zeroug, expert in applied physics. We explored potential scientific collaborations and toured the UML nuclear reactor. Dr. Mahmoudi reminds us that one can do well by doing good.

Biyouna: une icône, qui a marqué l’histoire par son art, vient de nous quitter. Son œuvre restera avec nous pour des générations. Je suis attristé par son décès et lui suis reconnaissant pour tout ce qu’elle nous a donné. Allah Yerhamha.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Biyouna, a giant of Algerian art. Her brilliance, courage, and humor helped many of us better understand ourselves and our society. She marked history with her art. Her work will remain with us for generations.
May she rest in peace.

حزين جدًا لرحيل بيونة، إحدى عمالقة الفن الجزائري. لقد ساعد ذكاؤها وشجاعتها وروحها المرحة الكثير منا على فهم أنفسنا ومجتمعنا بشكل أفضل. لقد صنعت التاريخ بفنّها، وسيبقى عملها معنا لأجيال قادمة.

إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون. ببالغ الحزن والأسى، أشارك عائلات ضحايا حادث سقوط الحافلة في واد الحراش أحزانهم، راجياً من الله أن يتغمد المتوفين برحمته الواسعة ويسكنهم فسيح جناته، وأن يمنّ بالشفاء العاجل على الجرحى. قلوبنا جميعاً معكم في هذا المصاب الجلل.
