Why is there no woman spokesperson in the CJP?

We did offered the role to our female team members, but many told us they would prefer to be actively involved without being at the forefront due to the constant online attacks and threats we are receiving. We respect their decision.

That said, we would like to invite young women who want to be part of this movement and are willing to step forward as spokespersons to join us.

Seventeen years ago, when they were extremely young, both Vijay and Annamalai chose politics as their future. It is not that they told me this directly, but I'll share some interesting information available in the public domain.

​Annamalai completed his first year MBA at IIM Lucknow in 2009. For his summer project, he obtained special permission to work as an intern in a political party. He worked directly under the late DMDK leader Vijayakanth, which coincided perfectly with the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.

​In the exact same year, Vijay met Rahul Gandhi, intending to merge his fan club into the Youth Congress and lead the youth front in Tamil Nadu. While the modalities could not be worked out and cinema remained his primary focus then, the close relationship he developed with Rahul Gandhi continues to this day.

​Incidentally, the seeds of today's battlefront in Tamil Nadu were planted exactly 17 years ago.
