🧵 New publication from the PGC Anxiety Working Group. Our GWAS meta-analysis of anxiety disorders is now published in @NatureGenet! 🔗: https://t.co/fb3yGDEURn
...well, with such a great team representing https://t.co/VeVM9X0MQf @LMU_Uniklinikum at #WCPG2024@ISPGnet#Singapore, no need for the guy who doesn't actually do the work, i.e. me 😉, to be present😅. Thanks for your amazing productivity over the past year: tenacity & scientific excellence at display. Enjoy the meeting!
It was a pleasure to present today at @WCPG2024! in Singapore. Thanks to everyone who came by and for all the great discussions!

🧠⚡️“Oops“! Do brain signals after errors reflect our negative feelings towards them? Our new paper with @FJueres (shared 1st author🤝), Norbert Kathmann & @JKlawohn examines this link, attempting to shed light on OCD's neurocognitive underpinnings: https://t.co/CP12bzch52 🧵 1/
Checkout our new preprint of a GWAS study of self- and parent-reported obsessive-compulsive symtoms (OCS) in ~34k EUR individuals from 7 population-based (twin-)cohorts. https://t.co/mwf2mRQw5N 1/8
Nevertheless, the sample size is still relatively small for estimating SNP-heritability and detecting specific significant markers (factoring in the high amount of individuals with zero symptoms & amount of twins included). Read the full paper for more details! 7/8

After my flight got cancelled last minute, it's now a 13 hour trainride to Florence for me. Very excited to meet everyone at my first in-person #WCPG2022!
Get ready for some ANX and OCD talks on Wed. (@AbiterKuile, @thaliaeley, @ChristelMiddeld, @jorsmo) and Sat. (@zac_gerring).
Excited to share our new preprint: GWAS of Hoarding Symptoms (HS) in >27,000 individuals in the general population, including EUR-ancestry cohorts from the Swedish Twin Registry, the Netherlands Twin Register, TwinsUK & Spit for Science.

A few spotlights:
As it is widely believed that the variation in HS present in the general population is clinically relevant for HD when symptoms reach the extreme end of the spectrum, the study of HS in the population may currently be the only feasible approach to understand the genetics of HD.
