A woman in Brazil just got criminally convicted for saying a biological man is a man.

Influencer Bianca Barreto was sentenced this week for a 2024 video in which she referred to transgender politician Duda Salabert (a man who identifies as a woman) using male pronouns and straightforward biological facts.

Here is exactly what she said:

"You must have already heard of Congressman Duda Salabert. He is a guy who says he is a trans woman, but he is married to a woman and has a son or daughter. Whatever she does in her private life is not my problem. Now, it will always be a problem when these people try to impose things on us that are not real, that are a product of her imagination. By ‘her’ I mean the person, because a man is a man, a woman is a woman, and that is it."

That is the entire statement that got her in trouble.

A Brazilian court convicted her of "social racism" for intentionally using the "wrong" pronouns and refusing to affirm the person's self-declared gender identity. The judge ruled that recognizing someone's chosen gender is mandatory because it is an "inseparable element of personality rights and the dignity of the human person." Using biological sex in public, the court said, is not just an opinion — it is an act that "refuses to recognize her citizenship" and amounts to marginalization.

Her actual punishment: Two years in what Brazil calls an "open regime," plus a fine of about $3,800 USD (R$20,000).

The "open regime" is basically a form of house arrest. She does not go to prison behind bars. She can live at home, work, and go about her daily life during the day, but her movement is restricted. She must return home at night and on weekends, check in regularly with authorities or a judge, and follow court rules. It is supervised release with limits, not full jail time — but it is still a criminal conviction on her record with real restrictions on her freedom.

This case shows how bat shit crazy the left has become. Barreto faces this penalty simply for stating that sex is real and cannot be changed by declaration.

We are literally living in George Orwell’s “1984”. Once people are legally compelled to deny reality, what is left of a free society?

Jennifer Lackard, the Mount Vernon, NY Police Deputy Commissioner, got arrested for allegedly being the getaway driver for her own son’s gang-related attempted murder right outside the Bronx courthouse.

Texts, surveillance, the whole family in the car… while she was supposed to be helping cops and the community.

Is everyone with any power in this country corrupt?

The dryers in Europe suck. I’ve traveled there so many times and often get Airbnb‘s that have washer dryers in them. I can’t tell you how many times, I tried to do a load of laundry and I had to repack all of my clean items in my suitcase while they were still damp. Yuck. To be fair, having a dryer at all is hard to be come by.
