@sour_nd_sweetwt@Gnoc290438@hannahwithfur Yeah but Woke 1.0 was like 2014-2024
Why would someone who was 9 yrs old have an understanding of what was or wasn’t discussed in that time
@herr__naphta I mean yeah you need a sponsor to enter the union period. If you’re related to a member that’s an advantage.
Not sure how they’re supposed to curb that.
@ItsAndyRyan@gaykittycorps My initial point was that studios leaving was them chasing cheaper tax credits. And the follow up about LA having exceptional talent was to refute this idea that one European can do the work of 3 Americans.
@ItsAndyRyan@gaykittycorps Let me know when Britain builds a film industry so globally dominant that -ywood becomes half of the portmanteau other cultures use for their own film industries.
@jetskitosway2 As others have said, definitely because lots of money can afford you large sensors which create shallow depth of field.
But adding to that, it’s a short cut for directing the eye when you dont or cant compose meaningful shots
@Texas_Libtard In the video his pretty clear that we’ve had populist presidents who were extremely good for the country (FDR) and that the thing that’s bad about Trump isn’t that he’s crass or “a man of the people” it’s that his policies are bad for the country.
it's a classic scam. you buy cheap ingredients, renovate them using heat and other ingredients and flip em. by the time the cops catch up you've moved on to another dish
@scenicresorts I worked with someone who had to follow him around on set so if he was needed they could grab him. They said at one point he went to the edge of the studio lot and walked into the forest. He had to follow him and by the time he caught up the man was in a clearing catching leaves.
@bhangbhangducx He was lying about being influenced by him yet Star Wars is a retelling of Hidden Fortress?
Lucas’s Achilles heel has always been his confidence with directing actors but arguably his greatest strength is the way he draws on his influences to build new things
@ohsethy Nobody asked but the reason Chinese food is such a staple in movies/tv is its:
A) plausible a character would have access to it
B) noodles are cheap
C) MOST IMPORTANTLY the iconic opaque container makes continuity a breeze. Resetting the contents for a new take is not needed
@AncientArgonaut@TheDeadTexan@TheCinesthetic The analogy you have is exactly backwards. The actor needs information and focus to do their job. If they aren’t ready it wastes time and money so the efficient thing to do is stop to ask for clarification.
