Our @SamaritansPurse Emergency Field Hospital is up and running in Black River, Jamaica, where Hurricane Melissa caused catastrophic damage, including the destruction of the community’s hospital. Our team has worked hard to quickly get the hospital operational. Patients are already receiving critical medical care this morning from our dedicated staff. Pray for the people of Jamaica as they continue to recover and our teams as they help in Jesus’ Name.
Our @SamaritansPurse team has finished setting up a community water filtration system in Black River, Jamaica, where Hurricane Melissa damaged or completely destroyed every home and structure. This is a critical need and these systems can provide clean water to up to 10,000 people per day. We are airlifting two more community water systems and additional shelter tarp tomorrow. #Pray

According to the Petersfield, Westmoreland, resident, he did everything possible to prepare for the powerful Category Five weather system, which tore through the parish on Tuesday afternoon with winds reaching 185 miles per hour.
