I know I troll Blackhawks fans a lot but man... Connor Bedard is one of the most overhated players in the league.

35 goal, 89 points at an 82-game pace this past season. 30g, 75pts in 69 GP in actuality. Playing with genuine scrubs.

And people still pretend he won't be a top-5 player MINIMUM in his prime. He's a 50-goal scorer the milisecond he has a good supporting cast.

Sens made the playoffs the last 2 years with Brady not even a top-3 guy (Stu, Sandy, Bath).

Team got younger/faster/more skilled replacing Eklund with him.

Clutch and physical ≠ elite.

Ottawa was 3rd in hits — Brady only 3rd on his own team (behind Cozens & Cousins).

Ottawa’s entire center depth (Stutzle, Cozens, Pinto) is making a combined 22.95 million for the next FOUR years.

All while having probably a top 3 defense.

This is going to allow for some really good flexibility in the future.

I think this year won’t show it though.
