@Steelers_DB Felt like a Rodgers decision, but 3 shots at MVS was certainly a choice. Let's fade the guy that got us down there and the 2 guys that have shined in short yardage situations.
@Steelers_DB Never thought I'd be hate watching my favorite team. I want to say I'm dumbfounded but this organization has been a slow moving train wreck for at least the last 5 years.
@BleacherNation I'm not so unrealistic to think we have a real chance in the playoffs with no Steele/Horton, but what is absolutely irking me is where is Cassie (IL I know), Alcantara, and MoBaller? Too valuable to trade for reinforcements, but apparently not good enough to start
@rollingsevans@PittsburghSport Exactly. It works in baseball because an at bat is an independent event. Exit velo x degree/angle = base hit % of time. Scheme, player responsibilities, and teammates duties all play a roll in NFL. Too many dependent variables on too many different types of plays for this to work
@BleacherNation Very random and probably not very smart question...do you think the amount of games Contreras catches vs DHs has any correlation on intent to extend him? In terms of maybe trying to keep the knees fresh or something?
@BleacherNation does CBT increase kill the chance of any prospect buying specifically with the Padres who were brought up multiple times this off season?
@BleacherNation Kind of cynical of me to think, but any chance owners want at least 15 delayed games or whatever the number is to manipulate service time one last time before it hopefully gets patched up?
@GrumJonathan@bb_referee@idahobulldog@JeffPassan Depreciation and amortization reduce your taxable income. You can't get an accurate tax expense without accounting for D&A so I believe it's safe to assume it's "OIBTIDA"
@BAMpmacdonald@bhodge89dh@Yankeesjohn@JeffPassan While OP isn't 100% correct it is really silly to just ignore depreciation and amortization expenses. While some ballparks were paid for partially by cities they reside in they are still 100% legitimate expenses that need to be factored in when considering profitability.
@JeffPassan Why not? All but like 4 teams already treat the CBT threshold as a cap. Why not spin it to get more favorable terms when implementing cap/floor? Higher cap/floor with increases based off league profit etc.
@BleacherNation Just to get spicy what about something along the lines of a 3 team trade of Hosmer to Rays, KK to the Cubs, Cubs eat a lot of $$ and collect prospects from Rays and Padres?
@KevinAdams26 @tberny7 @Urunderarrest I disagree. I don't think he is afraid of contact, but I do think think he can focus to much on defenders. Constantly throwing short of the sticks and knowing he has to pick up YAC has him thinking about what he is going to have to do before he even catches the ball.
@MM139918 @RobbVogel@JonHeyman They already have a salary cap with the luxury tax, or at least like 26 teams treat it like a cap. Accept the cap and demand a salary floor and % increase to the floor and cap based off revenue growth.
@BleacherNation What if any impact do you think this system might have on the trade deadline? Less activity due to teams wanting to win more games causing the price of rentals to increase maybe?
