@crawlyscubs Ian Happ has been so frustrating to watch. It's not just the BA with RISP. Over and over again he takes strike three looking in critical situations where just putting the ball in play gets you a run. At least swing the damn bat!
@cody__cubs What are you going to do, the staff is decimated right now, until more guys come back from the injury list. We had to use six different pitchers tonight, after 5 last night, and 5 the night before.
@MLB Couple of mental blunders there with PCA not running out of the box, then Shaw not telling PCA to slide on the sac fly. Sure glad it worked out, but lessons to be learned there. Both of those plays are probably outs with slower runners!
@cubsfan858 He's a good athlete with excellent speed and good defensive instincts. He can become an excellent outfielder if he keeps putting in time out there...
@OleTimeHardball Complete games. Pitchers don't have the opportunity to get those in the modern game. A modern pitcher will never hit even one tenth of that record.
@tessiesbestie And if they didn't mean any disrespect, where are the statements saying that? Where are the statements saying that now that they've had the time to reflect on Trump's statements, they find them dismissive and inappropriate?
@JohnItalianRT@NFL_DovKleiman@Chicago_NFL It's silly to think of then as the Indiana Bears. There's a street in Hammond called State Line Ave, and it's Indiana on one side of the street, Illinois on the other.
@CubbiesCrib Even if they're a little over, they're close enough to the threshold that they could always look to make a deadline trade in order to get back under, should they happen to be out of it. Small hit if you're still in it, no hit if you unexpectedly fall out of it.
@JoshuaHowsam I liked Tucker as a player, but the Cubs went so high for Bregman because they greatly valued his work ethic, team leadership, coaching ability, clubhouse presence, etc. Tuck didn't have those qualities, not when he was a Cub, at least.
