POKT's economics will never work on today's small demand side market, so I don't believe your desired outcome can be achieved via tokenomics ATM. It would be like trying to figure out how to make a Tesla to run off of a 9V battery. Time would likely be better spent increasing battery capacity, which is growing POKT's demand.

Unfortunately, @POKTdao resources have only been devoted to mostly closed-source gateways... meaning the network growth is at the mercy of specific gateway businesses.

That is not a healthy model. POKT needs real, open-source, gateway tech to drive innovation and demand IMO. Once we have enough battery capacity to at least move the vehicle itself, then it would be worth also looking into increasing tokenomic efficiencies.

What is a DePIN gateway?

Should gateways only be a Web2 way to access Web3, or can they operate as an L2 on DePIN protocols?

Perhaps an L2s running on top of a protocol like POKT, providing a developer experience, not possible on the protocol itself? 🤔

It is surprisingly difficult to build applications within service workers. Things you take for granted just don't work right. The runtime has no global namespace i.e. no global (node) or window (browser). Almost all libraries (or their dependencies) expect one or the other.
