One of the most wonderful people I knew, my close friend, Awdah Hathaleen, was murdered today.

Shot by Yinon Levy, a settler in Masafer Yatta. Israeli soldiers who arrived on the scene said they wished it were them who shot Awdah. After, the army arrested Palestinians, pointed out by the murderer. Awdah wasn't just murdered by a settler. He was murdered by Israel.

He was a father, an activist, a friend, he was a human being. One of my favourite people in the world.

My friend is dead. Remember his name. And fight. Fucking fight.

There will be no justice. In a just world Awdah would still be alive. But the system that killed him needs to be destroyed. Zionism needs to be destroyed. Fully and irreversibly. And that is our job. Yours and mine.
