Behaviour is always an indicator of emotion, it’s just the top of the iceberg. Avoid the obvious, go beyond what you can see. Wonder, imagine, notice and empathise. Validate the child’s perspective, there’s no such thing as an irrational feeling. #training#emotionalliteracy
When dealing with resistance (self or others) drop your assumptions and get curious. Behind resistance are emotions and behind emotions there is always a story. Understand the story and you will find the thread to unravel the resistance. #emotionalliteracy#killresistance

Last session today with a family I have been working with since October. What a journey we have been on, so much growth and change. They have been amazing at bringing out the best in each other and in me 💖 and this is why I love what I do

The most exceptional feedback from our PT and CSW for our first end of placement @FrontlineSW ❤️ Absolutely smashed it team 👏🏼 @rebeccabarnes_@phoebezz7
My own therapist cried with me in session the other day. This was healing for me because no medical professional has ever been so moved by my pain, and I felt deeply seen.
Feeling cared about like this helps me lower my defenses and feel more deeply as well.
What I've leaned is that relapsing is part of recovering. There isn’t one simple road to healing. You may have to try different paths to find the one that works for you. If you're struggling right now remember, you've fought difficulty times before and you can do it again.
Day 4 of @FrontlineSW and I’m so excited after shadowing my first visit - crazy to think I’ll have my own case load in under 2 weeks. Can’t wait to challenge people’s perspectives of social workers in my practice
A great day welcoming our 2020 Frontline Cohort! The next five weeks is going to be a powerful learning experience for everyone involved, and as day one comes to end we want you to remember that we'll be with you every step of the way as you start your social work journey.
Over the moon with what I’ve achieved this year, finished my degree on a high and most importantly secured myself a job doing what I love the most. I’m always so critical of myself but there are times when even I realise I deserve a pat on the back 💖
I was on a run this morning at 6.30 - it was raining, I had full length gym leggings on & a hoodie. No makeup, hair scraped back, headphones in. These two guys saw me whilst getting into a car and catcalled me. I ignored it, so they followed me for the entire block in the car-
