If the new ps5 games don’t sell well they will need to find a way to make investors happy again. It will depend a lot on the next few releases because most of the recent game probably haven’t met Sonys target

@xMBGx I mean gamers are lucky 3rd party is on ps5. I feel PlayStation first party has been a letdown and the company is getting more and more anti consumer with dynamic pricing all the price increases with no value added. Probably won’t get a ps6 because of it.

@TheRedDragon It’s sad to see more studios close. Problem is new franchises are a risk. The other problem is a good new ip is crapped on by competitors fanboys spreading hate. Like look at forza 5s hate until it released on other platforms. Fanboys have destroyed games and peoples lives

@Xvault2 Not sure why indie devs would sign up for this if the games arnt on pc. I mean pc is where indie games thrive. I mean 2 indie game outsold all exclusive ps5 games in 2025. Sonys fanbase doesn’t seem to support them.

@Glassdoorgamer @rondo2014 So no one is a real gamer then in your books. PC has some of the largest exclusive sales for 2025 DUEL and peak both were over 10 million sold. People were begging to get it on console which may come in time. Myself I kept seeing PS fans asking for pc games and vice virsa.

Problem is the development costs are high and sales have being going wrong direction. Notice when a game doesn’t sell the studios are shut down. Socom killzone … all closed

Back when they were working on ps1 Sony bought Psygnosis which at the time was the largest studio on the market which made snes and sega games. They had over 12 studios under them and were a publisher, To me it was bigger then activ

@The_Alex_64 Well pc has been where the fun games have been for quite awhile. So many interesting unique games out there. Sort of crazy consoles lost their magic yet pc is thriving because of it.

@JareBear603 @isnikolaos @digitalfoundry I myself think the hair on the ps5 looks a little better but not much. Some of the others like the jacket the pro looks better. Would be interesting to see ps5 pro pssr vs 2. To see if it did make much of a difference. And will the games that looked worse on pro look better

@JayDubcity16 @chanpagne__papi I always find it funny people say it’s $360 is there no way to get cheaper cards in the us. I mean 6 months in Canada is 124.99 if you buy the cards at Costco. Which is way cheaper than the 33.99 a month. Convert that to us and wow would be way cheaper.

@The_CrapGamer My 8 year old son actually likes the Xbox the most. He dislikes how often the ps5 crashes. Myself I prefer the switch 2 because I find the games more enjoyable then the others.
