@alexmassie Excellent in the Times. Thank you. Has anyone ever proposed free schools/acadamies in Scotland? It’s so self-evident now that curriculum diversity, ethos diversity, local autonomy to hire and fire and reward, creative destruction etc. … it works! The blob doesn’t.

A thought for my (small number) of followers and for @afneil who might agree, despite the delusional Utopianism of my thought…. Why are companies taxed at all? Why are they not considered as structures that employ people, invest, create things, grow, fail, etc. Tax people!

@DAaronovitch @simonmontefiore @SarahLudford I’d cut everything that commercial media produce - unless those bbc programmes of that genre are profitable through international sales/franchises. And if they exist, I’d hive them off into a sub that was explicitly commercial and used to subsidise psb - news, arts.
