November 4, 2025 will be remembered as a turning point for high school coaches in Florida.

Our team at @PayFLCoaches made it to Tallahassee to speak before the PreK to 12 Education Committee about High School Coaches Compensation.

Our Executive Director @AndrewRamjit delivered a powerful and comprehensive presentation explaining the history of supplements in Florida, why they have remained low for decades, how surrounding states have modernized their pay structures, and what must be done right now before even more coaches walk away from this profession in our great state.

Thank you to the Committee for giving our organization the opportunity to present with data, firsthand experiences, and the truth. Thank you to Coach Mike Hickman for presenting with conviction. Thank you to Coach @RealCharlieWard for taking time away during his first season as Head Coach at FAMU Basketball to stand alongside coaches across Florida. Thank you to our Regional Director @mcgriff_tyrone for sharing his personal story during public comments. Thank you to members of our State Leadership Team @JeffGierke, @coachwaldrop, and @KayleeNordin for being present. Most of all, thank you to every coach who tuned in to watch live. Word is the website went down multiple times because so many were trying to livestream.

This was for every coach in this state who has sacrificed for our student-athletes without proper recognition or compensation over the last 50 years.

We have done all we can and we know our words have been taken seriously. We hope we made our profession and our coaches in Florida proud.
