I โฅ science & compiled, statically-typed programming languages! I dislike slop in all forms, including slop thinking. Views are my own, but are obviously right.
My first co-corresponding author paper! Excited to contribute to this work on tracking ultra-rare lymphoma cells using TRUST4, which assembled BCRs for the SMART-seq2 data with the read length of only 35 bp.
Another dishonest characterization from Jason. No, it doesn't assume that "any idea for reform is treated as a threat to science".
Rather, it assumes that explicitly placing scientific decision making at the whim of political officials in an opaque system is a bad idea. I agree.

I generally support the declaration, particularly the concerns about a tiered systems based on who has access to the latest models.
Well, Jason, say what you will about @drugmonkeyblog, but it's kind of hard to engage with you on Twitter, or even "drag your posts", when you block people who call you on your nonsense...
China is gaining ground & will continue to, b/c the US govt is intentionally engineering, as best they can, American obselecence in science, engineering & academic disciplines in general. This is intentional seppuku of our science & engineering excellence

They own property, right? It seems to me that to afford equal treatment under the law, either everyone or no one who owns property should pay property taxes. Otherwise you continue to create special classes and discriminate against others.
Dude claims that God is not "continent", & it is not logically unsound that he created the universe (I assume he meant contingent).
Precisely the same argument works for the universe being its own uncaused first cause, which is more parsimonious,& removes one link from the chain
โ The โinfinite regressโ problem also applies to God.
โ On the contrary, it would only apply to God if God existed in a linear sequence of time, e.g., A-theory of time. But that would make God contingent rather than necessary, i.e., God is not God. So your argument collapses into discussing a thing which is not God, but something other than God.
โ Saying that โGod is outside of time and spaceโ is meaningless.
โ The meaning is that, if God existed inside time and space, then it would make God continent (see above rebuttal). Time and space would have to exist prior to God, which means that God is not the actus purus grounding of existence., Again, your argument collapses into discussing a thing which is not God, but something other than God.
"It is not my intention..." Well, the first time you do it, that may be true. However, if you're told by patients and their families how offensive what you have said was, and you continue to do it, then it clearly is your intention, Jason.
I've said it many times in the past but the 2019 MacBook Pro 16" is the best designed MacBook Pro
The thickness, not fully squared design and thin bezels without a notch all work beautifully

Especially if you're in a company whose valuation is skyrocketing and you have equity! Make sure you get out before your equity could be worth 10s of millions of dollars; then what would you do?!
This absolutely is a breakthrough, Jason. The fact that you can't comprehend how meaningful 6 extra months is to someone with a 24 month life expectation, and their friends and families, just shows how wildly out of touch YOU are. Disgraceful.
It's silly to claim that the "existence" of logic and mathematics result from faith. You can argue that they are discovered or invented. Regardless, their theorems & conclusions derive inexorably from the axioms. It is a massive overreach to claim the laws of thought are "faith".
Science cannot prove that God does or doesn't exist, as science can only prove the physical a posteriori.
But God is a metaphysical question proven a priori. To claim that science proves God either way is to make a category error, as science cannot prove metaphysics.
Science cannot even prove that logic, math and modal truth exist, yet science presupposes that they exist in order to prove science, i.e., science takes the existence of those things on faith alone.
Therefore, science is predicated on faith.
It's a very strange position, indeed, to assume that someone disagreeing with you on philosophical, theological & rational grounds is "attacking" you. Some do, but this is just because people are jerks (see the many Christian bots on this site cruely memeing non-Christians).
No one is born believing theism. Also, no one is born knowing general relativity either, but with study, work, and observation, you can learn the truths of the universe.
