@ClueHeywood@elonmusk Also disgusting that his cult will take his "observation" as scientific fact. Observations, anecdotal experiences, your own fucking ignorant bias ≠ fact, but that's a nuance lost on fucking idiots.
@ClueHeywood@ronaldjhansen I think I audibly squealed the first time I heard somebody on NPR say "lied" instead of the usual "falsely claimed" or "claimed without evidence". Unfortunately it was also the last time I heard anyone say it...
@ClueHeywood@ronaldjhansen Maybe most painful is hearing reporters on NPR, who I respect deeply, chuckling about disturbing things, like it's just ha ha to them, but I feel like this contributes to the normalization. Oh if NPR isn't upset about it - they're laughing! – it must not be that big a deal. Ugh.
@ClueHeywood@ronaldjhansen YES. This is one of the...baffling / fuckin annoying things about journalism in these times. There has got to be a way to responsibly report unbiased facts without normalizing or – my favorite term from the first go-around – "sanewashing" this shit.
@midwestern_ope A. Unlike most responses, I'll back it up with logic: if you do B, all of the butter runs down and drips off. Option A keeps the butter on the ear! (Now some folks might like to sop up the butter that drips off as a special treat, so to you: go for it!
@ClueHeywood@MAGAVoice Maybe that's how they salute in S. Korea? (See flag at right edge of frame?)
So: patriot with foreign flag (also, I'm guessing, not caucasian) saluting with wrong hand = chills.
Also: isn't that account probably a (Russian) bot posting this just to get us riled up like this?
@CTrevorNelson@AdamKinzinger@GiGicmka Every time I see that photo of the pedo (not the orange one) my first unbidden thought is "it would be cool if his middle name started with an F because then his monogram would say JEF which is also his name" and thing my conscious brain takes over and says "nah, fuck that guy".
@ClueHeywood But haven't you been paying attention? Words (like treason) mean whatever they say they mean.
Unrelated, I think you still have 2 free beers at the Mountaintop Tap Room here in Flag. (I didn't pay for them, but give me a heads-up and I'll also buy a round / get my ass kicked.)
I've been calling him #DarthCheeto for years. So glad to see him step into the role.
(Not sure which is more dangerous: offending Catholics or offending Star Wars nerds...)
@rez_devil Yeah, had it when I lived in Tempe, it was awesome. It was also only $25 (perhaps since it was "new-ish", perhaps because I was already on a Verizon family plan). It was also great to kick Cox to the curb.
@ArizonaDOT Wouldn't it make more sense to list the cities in the same direction as the lane closure? In other words:
"I-40 westbound remains CLOSED between Holbrook and Williams"
@ArizonaDOT I assume the pros at DOT–especially the communicator in charge of the X account–know more than I, but again, am I dumb?!
ADOT: "I-40 westbound remains CLOSED between Williams and Holbrook"
So, you can't travel WEST...from a city in the west to a city in the east. Super clear.
@FlagstaffPD It does seem to me that this is the only place, in all of my driving, where I've seen *multiple* flashing red lights (instead of just one) and to my admittedly inexpert mind that could be part of the confusion.
