I would like to bring to your attention the continued human rights abuses being carried out by state forces in Balochistan. In March, I submitted a video statement for the 58th Session of the Human Rights Council, which is now available on UN Web TV: https://t.co/iVoA4tpY9H.

Despite international attention, including statements by UN Special Rapporteurs, the Pakistani state continues its campaign of oppression against the Baloch people. Our peaceful struggle for justice and human rights has been met with increased brutality. Today, more than 200 of our fellow activists, including prominent leaders such as Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Shahji Baloch, and Beebarg Baloch, are being held in illegal detention.

We urge all international human rights organizations and the global community to continue raising their voices against these grave injustices. The lives of human rights defenders in Balochistan are at severe risk. Your solidarity and advocacy are vital in the struggle to uphold human dignity and justice for the Baloch people.

The Baloch Students Council Islamabad organized a peaceful walk to protest against the enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and the crackdown on peaceful protesters. The demonstration also condemned the illegal detention of Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) leaders and activists.
The ongoing oppression faced by the Baloch Nation, who have been subjected to intimidation, abductions, unlawful detentions and increasing cases of enforced disappearances, where individuals vanish without any legal justification, leaving their families in distress and uncertainty.
Baloch students, who have long been advocating for their rights through legal and democratic means, were once again forced to take to the roads, as their concerns continue to be ignored.
