@AntVenom Yo AntVenom, I am the dev in this screenshot, let me know if you'd like to get in contact. I'd be happy to provide some info or access to a private build of the game. This has spread so far from a simple post in my discord, it's crazy.
@passivestar_ Finally I see a big name in the godot space talking about this issue, it was driving me nuts last year and made me completely give up on the idea of using godot for 3d games.
@Nothke Yeah, I genuinely do not understand how people make full 3d games with lots of models/assets in this engine. It is incredible, until you start adding models and the workflow completely breaks down.
@Nothke This game genuinely has fantastic art direction, I'm not really interested in racing games but I've been following you purely because of this graphical mastery. It feels like some sort of forbidden magic I haven't seen other games replicate.
the windows 11 version of microsoft paint is really buggy and broken and it makes me sad ): It doesn't scale the canvas correctly and your cursors position is not sampled correctly leading to imprecise, inaccurate broken and jagged lines. rip paint.
just finished implementing a prefab system in my #gameengine. I know there is so much more work to do but with this in it feels like I am getting closer to something usable. I think next I need some basic AI, and some more work on the weapon system. #indiedev#gamedev
@Phantom_TheGame I completed a game using only assets I made myself.. its possible! don't give up if you're like me and enjoy making assets for your game. I even learned to animate :D It will just take a long time. With my art style, it was about 30-50 minutes per prop. (chair, bucket etc)
@Phantom_TheGame i wish my brain would let me use premade assets but for some reason I always feel like I'm cheating myself if I do. It doesn't feel nearly as satisfying as making everything myself. The only exception is photo textures, because if I didn't use them I would go crazy
it felt like it took forever but the dialogue system is now 100% in, you can edit it in the editor, build the game and have an npc repeat the dialogue back to you.
improvements to my dialogue editor since yesterday. I think it's a lot easier to read, but still far from perfect, especially with the colours. They are of course temporary. Theming imgui is very finicky so I'm waiting until the ui is solid (#gamedev#indiedev#gameengine)
working on the dialogue system ui today, still trying to learn how to use #imgui but getting there. Currently trying to figure out how to fill in the background of these. #gamedev#indiedev#gameengine
