Speaking of the CSS result, I remember many years ago a reporter in Jang used to dissect the final list of successful candidates and would do a whole story on who was related to whom in the existing government power structure - would make for very interesting reading - as in related to which judge, general and/or MNA/MPA
My friend at Dawn in Lahore where I was posted for 2-3 years first pointed this out to me
I wonder if @asadalikhatana remembers this

@YousufMFarooq mostly because of @bisp_pakistan providing mobile wallet sims of @telenorpakistan & @Zongers & other telcos just because they don't know where to spend it off the World Bank fund in the name of poverty alleviation & social safety division.

Not paying tax and actively avoiding or even evading tax is absolutely justified in Pakistan because my tax money rather than redistributing wealth to the poor goes to:
1. Land Cruisers and luxury vehicles for useless government functionaries.
2. It goes towards providing servants and drivers to bureaucrats, military officers and judges.
3. The same people whose vehicles and hooters run on my tax stop ambulances for their so called routes and their gunmen signal ordinary Pakistanis to get out of the way for our tax eaters.
4. iPhones and Samsung S24s for public servants really?
5. Plots for serving and retired people on land forcefully taken by the State and thugs.
6. Surveillance of my private data and communication
7. Foreign Medical Treatment of Bureaucrats and as a result I get no protection if I am robbed, I get no free treatment if I am sick, my kids don't get subsidized education or sports facilities when everything is built on my taxes.
8. Luxury Banquets and parties
9. Subsidies for industrial mafia whose only operating on state patronage while mostly sitting in government. Which produce no exports, have barriers to entry for legitimate businessmen and have led our economy to this place.
10. Multiple servants for government functionaries when the same people can be used in a productive capacity - this servitude is extremely unproductive as an economy. Cook your own food, polish your own shoes!
And the list goes on and on and on. Why any Pakistani in their right mind would pay tax? We need tax transparency. Taxes were meant to redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor. Here taxes are accumulated from the rich and poor alike to fund luxuries of elected officials, bureaucrats, military officers and judges.
Sorry, that is not what my tax was for.

MYTHS ABOUT MILITARY SERVICE and QUALIFICATIONS
Myth-1: Like all govt servants, Army officers/ Jawans also serve till the age of 60 years.
Reality: NOO.
In Pakistan Army, retirement is linked with rank service and not age. Normally an officer at the rank of Major retires at the age of 44 (plus/minus) after completing 23 years of rank service. Likewise all ranks including Generals retire at specified age for that particular rank. A Lt Gen normally retires before he turns 57.
Similarly, soldiers or Non Commissioned Officers or Junior Commissioned Officers also retire at different ages after specific service.
So, normally most of army persons retire when their children are school going and they are at the peak of their personal liabilities.
That is why most of army persons need a job after they retire.
