@cardano_whale I'm very impressed with BTC's strength even in these times. I think something intrinsically wrong with macro still needs to be worked out, but just like Gox BTC's resiliency here is impressive. Same goes for ADA
@bariweiss "Anti-whiteness" is already a tolerated part of some Black cultural circles, not really a stretch to see some going anti-Semitic. The difference is MSM won't play along, but that may not matter anymore in the TikTok era of information dissemination. Racism is always wrong btw
@elonmusk Can you make it so we can listen to Twitter spaces events when my phone screen is off? YT premium does this, it's the reason why I subscribed. Huge value add IMO
@DaveDMckay1982 @maticicero @hover389@Russia_Nataly@elonmusk Yeah of course, should have specified that I was referring to Elon's statement that he wants speech on Twitter as free as possible, within the confines of the law.
@DaveDMckay1982 @maticicero @hover389@Russia_Nataly@elonmusk But that doesn't mean that he can't get close. Certain grey areas will need to be enforced more strictly than U.S. law, but I don't think that needs to turn into "all speech is banned". 2/2
@DaveDMckay1982 @maticicero @hover389@Russia_Nataly@elonmusk Well speech in general is protected, in the U.S. at least. But just like certain forms of speech are made illegal despite that, doesn't mean we've fallen down that slippery slope. I think it's impossible to accurately moderate Twitter in conformance with US/State law 1/2
@maticicero @hover389@Russia_Nataly@elonmusk Fair enough, I concede it's usually only illegal if used for finance or to get someone in legal trouble. Though I can see why it'd be easier to ban all impersonation, I also see why some view it as hypocritical w/r/t other unsavory, but not illegal, speech.
@maticicero @hover389@Russia_Nataly@elonmusk That's not true, they are the same thing. I invite you to look that up yourself with respect to which state you're in, if you reside in the U.S., but here is a start: https://t.co/7zryZPeQi8
@cardano_whale My biggest concern are CBDCs. To be honest, I'm pretty fine with some sort of regulation that ensures stablecoin issuers have to meet some financial reporting requirements in order to issue digital fiat.
@FractalEncrypt It's not a good argument IMO, but I already was inclined to disagree with the premise. Writing like this can be good at giving people what they want to hear though. I would never know this was AI, could have been a buzzfeed article. Scary
@SambodhiPrem@TuurDemeester Gensler literally taught a class at MIT on Bitcoin, of course he knows how BTC reaches consensus. Besides, both parties here agree BTC is a commodity, which is what you should want if you don't want the SEC involved.
@gladstein Real question: at this level of currency devaluation, is there anyone in the country actually using Pesos? Why would you accept payment in something that will devalue almost immediately? I assume there are frictions in changing a monetary system overnight.
