@BritHugoboom@autocorrect2_0 It appears that the DEI profession placed worthless graduates into corporate and public institutions to police racism and inclusion or whatever, but that was long after I left academia. I simply discovered that nobody cared if I had a degree or not.
@BritHugoboom@autocorrect2_0 That was the standard mantra. You needed a degree if you want to enter the professional realm where the money is. Anything else one chose to do was chosen instead of college, treated as a failure, a fall back plan to the ever important degree, the only ticket to real success.
@BritHugoboom Absolutely. It should be significantly better once the new investments coming ashore are built and productive. It’s going to be so much better. Supply lines that make sense, stuff built here instead of elsewhere, abundance and prosperity just appearing on the horizon…
@CynicalPublius@optionimper It’s hard to compete with a nicely printed certificate that says you’re special. They can say whatever they want because they’re academics, smarter than we are, with the lavish dinners, certificates and awards to prove it. They’re invited to media and panel discussions, and stuff
@CynicalPublius@optionimper Go crash a university departmental awards presentation and dinner to see it in action, especially when there’s any monetary value, like bringing in some grant money. They talk, applaud, admire and envy each other and give awards to frame on their walls…
@MattWalshBlog I recognize the affordability problem. His can we not recognize that? I’m just not going to cry about it until I’m absolutely positive that my president, who I voted for and still would, isn’t planning to do anything about it. At present, I believe that he will correct it.
@JackPosobiec I think we just need to support our president so he can finish what he started. We elected him. We were happy about that, most of us anyway, and then you guys came along and wanted more engagement…
@DrRitaDed Climate change didn’t cause leaders to stop managing their forests or cause arsonists to start fires. It’s just a hot summer, in some places.
Curiously, we’ve been experiencing temperatures well below normal in the middle of the USA.
@MattWalshBlog I’m okay with acknowledging the inflated prices of today, but I don’t think it’s enough to call off the war with Iran and just let it remain as is, minus a few missiles and nuclear dust. This has to be finished, and we need to absorb it like patriots.
@benshapiro I think they’re talking about delivered burritos. My burritos are a lot cheaper than that. A flour tortilla, a dollop of refried beans, a little cheese, and into the microwave for one minute. It’s like twenty cents.
