5 things you must learn quickly if you want to survive and succeed abroad 😅🇳🇬⏭️🇨🇦
1. Learn how to keep your mouth shut.
Abroad na top secret headquarters 😂People can smile with you, gist with you, laugh with you, ask innocent questions… and still be studying your entire life. Not everybody needs to know: how you traveled, your immigration process, your finances, your next move. Talk less. Move smart. Privacy is peace over here.
2. Stop jumping from one plan to another.
One thing many newcomers do is panic-switch every two weeks. Today na trucking. Tomorrow na tech.
Next week na real estate. After that na “my brother say crypto dey pay” 😭 Hold one thing first. Build roots.
Establish yourself. Then branch out later if you want.
3. Go to school and learn something properly. Abroad respects professionalism. Everything here has certification. Even things we normally “just know” back home 😅 Forklift? Certification. Caregiving? Certification. Trades? Certification.
Learn one solid skill very well. It can change your entire life.
4. Take your work seriously. Your job abroad is not the place for shakara. Be punctual. Understand your role.
Be dependable. Some people lose opportunities because they treat work like an optional group assignment 😭 Your reputation matters fast here.
5. Don’t enter businesses or deals you don’t understand. Scams abroad are very organized and very polished 😭 Calm down. If you don’t understand something properly, ask questions first before putting your money inside.
Abroad can reward you well. But it also humbles people who move without patience or direction. Move smart. Build slowly. Protect your peace.

🤯 Did You Know? Enugu Once Had a Mercedes Benz Assembly Plant
Right there in Emene, Enugu.
In 1977 the Federal Government of Nigeria entered a joint venture agreement with Daimler AG of Germany and built a fully operational truck assembly plant in Enugu called ANAMMCO, the Anambra Motor Manufacturing Company Limited. It started production in 1980, assembling Mercedes Benz trucks, ambulances and refuse disposal trucks with an annual capacity of 7,500 vehicles, all Mercedes Benz, in Enugu assembled by Nigerian hands.
Then for more than seven years it was completely shut down due to economic instability, unavailability of foreign exchange and lack of government patronage. All staff were laid off.
A plant that was supposed to grow into full local manufacturing, 100% Nigerian content by 1991, slowly became a shadow of itself.
Today most young people in the Southeast have never heard of it.
This is why we tell these stories. 🖤
