In the last five years, tur dal imports have risen ~4.5x .
Urad dal imports are up ~2x.
Edible oil imports now cost India over ₹1.61 lakh crore annually.
Raw cotton has also turned net-import positive in recent years, while sugar exports have dropped sharply from peak levels.
So we’re okay with a rising food import bill of ₹2 lakh crore+, but can’t stick to E10 citing “import bill concerns”? 😂😂
The Union Government today confirmed to Parliament what TEAM BHARAT has been saying. 𝐏𝐒𝐔𝐬 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐄𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐥 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐱 ₹𝟕𝟎/ 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐞.

“This is about as close as you would get to Narendra Modi on his trip to Melbourne. He famously avoids unscripted news conferences, preferring instead more stage-managed appearances.”

An ambulance carrying a critical patient was stopped for 5 minutes to allow the CM's convoy to pass through first in Jaipur. The traffic police can be heard shamelessly saying, “Arrey, oxygen de to rakhi hai yaar... Maine ishaara kar diya hai, band kar de (to switch off the ambulance siren).”
Even a 2-year-old child is aware of Modi's usual script of letting ambulances pass during his roadshows. However, the reality is quite different. His own ministers and CMs are well aware of his theatrics, which is why they don't follow the practice themselves.
India has got a wonderful Prime Minister, caring, loving and supportive There is no one like Modi-
The heat has increased a lot, so everyone should drink plenty of water.
India’s great Prime Minister Modi held a high-level meeting yesterday. In the meeting, he called all the MPs and ministers. The entire country was expecting that, with the rising prices of petrol, diesel, and CNG, increasing inflation, and the difficult situation faced by poor people, small business owners, street vendors, and rickshaw pullers, the government would announce some relief measures or make an important decision.
But the interesting part is that Prime Minister Modi told his MPs and ministers:
“The heat has increased a lot, so all of you should drink more water.”
And then the meeting ended.
Tell me, can there be a more caring Prime Minister anywhere? In a high-level meeting, he is advising his MPs and ministers to drink plenty of water.
Now wait and watch. Today they are asking people to drink more water. India was already mixing 20% ethanol in petrol, and now the government plans to increase it to 30%. Slowly, after some time, they may even say, “Please drink less water too, we need it to produce ethanol.”
Now it is becoming clear why the great Prime Minister does not hold press conferences. He probably knows that he may not be able to answer even five serious questions.
If questions are asked about development, education, national security, healthcare, and corruption, then he himself might need to drink plenty of water.
It should be Indian prime minister Modi who sparks controversy for refusing to answer media questions while abroad, not a journalist for simply asking. https://t.co/trFVTeEUZh
Primeminister of India, Narendra Modi, would not take my question, I was not expecting him to.
Norway has the number one spot on the World Press Freedom Index, India is at 157th, competing with Palestine, Emirates & Cuba.
It is our job to question the powers we cooperate with.
The first one is a digitally altered page being wrongly presented as the front page of The Hindu on June 6, 1967. The second is the actual page released that day. This is what social media is capable of; it can even alter the front page of India's national English daily.
This is getting hilarious
PM Modi at 5:00 PM: “Please use the metro and save fuel.”
