@afewbruises Doomsday is basically a way to get a raw video signal out of your VHS. Every VCR encodes the video signal down to ether RF or composite. Essentially doomsday bypasses this and gives you a raw signal to work with. It requires a modded VCR tho, and a few specific capture cards.
@GamesCage_@UltimaShadowX "furthermore if you download a ROM we will stab you in the eyeball and then shoot you in the chest 14.75 times. You must love your corporate overlords more than your own mother."
@GamerhubCo@HazzadorGamin Also the fact that they need to be revived in the first place. Nintendo never gave up making Zelda or Kirby. They continued to have games. These games coming out made them more recognizable IPs. The fact that PS didn't do shit with these for so long is why they don't have big IP
@HazzadorGamin To have an IP that you "fostered from the beginning," you have to continue to do something with it till it becomes more recognizable. You can't just chase Triple A tent poles and then when they don't do Fortnite numbers abandon them. This is both Sony and Microsoft's problem.
@Myles_EXVS@Phunkmachine@DoomAssistMe Both Sony and Microsoft refuse to do anything with their IPs unless they can do Fortnite numbers. Ever since the start of the HD era these two companies have been so obsessed with Triple A tent pole games that they forgot what made people fans of their consoles in the first place
@devolverdigital@MattMcMuscles I don't see a Japanese company touching the franchise at all. But seriously this all the way. I know it's joke, but fuck man. I hate how MK has been trying to become more and more dramatic over the years. Please return to the goofy dumb shit that you originated from.
@MattMcMuscles I don't even have to look up numbers to know it failed. I knew maybe two kids that had a GameCube in middle school and pretty much everyone else who played videogames had a PS2.
@mommilph Honestly the fact that the games are selling well after the exclusively runs out makes it feel like there is no down side for the devs/publishers. Have epic cover the dev expenses, then in 1 year people treat your game like it's brand new and you get a bunch of sales.
