@JohnHall2946 @ERAtenants No one is listening to you, you hate moms. I think that’s bad and don’t trust your political opinions because you hate women and mothers.
The single biggest predictor of eviction is a child in the home.
Keep mothers housed, vote yes on Measure 26-238.
Renters’ rights are women’s rights. Happy Mother’s Day.
ULPDX proudly supports Mult. County Ballot Measure 26-238. Eviction Representation for All balances the scales by providing free & universal representation to tenants facing eviction. Vote YES on May 16th! Learn more here: https://t.co/xyd56jR0uj
Okay. It’s time to get serious. Evictions are extremely harmful to our community. And Multnomah County isn’t doing enough to reduce evictions.
Last year 9% of tenants had legal representation in eviction court, and this year the numbers are looking even worse.
We have phone banking spots that need filling! Data shows most people leave voting until the last minute so we need your help reminding them to get their ballots in.
Can you sign up for one of these phone banking times? You can do it from your couch.

@GrahamNeeson007@SusheelaJayapal The select few are the extremely wealthy and it’s stupid to let them off the hook while normal people pay for social programs. Other municipalities don’t tax capital gains because the rich people who own the politicians don’t want to pay them and it’s really that simple.
Election Day is coming up! Ballots are due May 16, and we need YOU!
Special elections skew whiter and wealthier, so it’s crucial we talk to as many voters as we can so we can PASS Measure 26-238, reduce displacement and homelessness, and win Eviction Representation for All!
@APANONews So so so insulting for you to use a stock image of a Black family for this. Nike and Comcast shareholders will pay the tax, which is the entire point. What capital assets does Fubonn sell? Seems like you’re just lying to people at this point.
@RDW_Heather@SusheelaJayapal It really shows the massive divide between tenants and electeds. They’re happy to accept whatever PBA tells them is reality when even a single conversation with a renter would show them just how dire things are.
*HUGE* step forward for fair tax policy in Portland & the rest of the county that raises revenue for progress. OR was designed to be a "white utopia" which affects today's policies. Info about tax proposal here: https://t.co/RaJ26G6yIp Portland history: https://t.co/KEqUl4CXBm
@SusheelaJayapal Are you saying you would intentionally defund the program? Is that not just admitting to outright malfeasance by the county commission in the future? Disgusting.
@SusheelaJayapal God forbid we have dedicated staff to implement a program that reduces homelessness. You are totally unserious about addressing the county’s single largest issue if you don’t think dedicated staff and funding are required.
@SusheelaJayapal That estimate also assumes a worst-case scenario and conveniently leaves out that YOU are responsible for collecting the tax efficiently. Why would you intentionally choose the most expensive and least efficient option? Why are you so afraid to do your job?
