A female YouTuber revealed that she was sexually assaulted by a taxi driver. She hopes that victims like her will no longer remain silent.

On May 23, 2024, at around 2 a.m., she took a taxi home after drinking with friends. She was intoxicated and lost consciousness in the back seat of the taxi.

When the taxi arrived at the parking lot of her home, the driver came over to the back seat and raped her. Since she had no prior sexual experience, the insertion was very painful. She struggled but lost consciousness again.

She reported the crime to the police the same day. However, the police asked her, “Why didn’t you report it immediately when you were raped?”
After regaining consciousness, the first place she visited was the Sunflower Center , where the victim’s body is examined and the perpetrator’s DNA is collected from various parts of the body (mouth, face, shoulders, vagina, etc.).

After being raped, her vagina and uterus were completely damaged. She has been continuously visiting the obstetrics and gynecology department from last year to this year. She was also prescribed medication to treat sexually transmitted diseases, but some of the drugs were so strong that she experienced menstruation twice a month.

She has been pursuing legal action since last year. According to her, the Korean legal system forces victims to suffer for years. The lawsuit process is very long and difficult.

She tried to hide the fact that she was a victim and acted cheerful on YouTube, but people questioned her, asking, “You really look depressed; what’s going on?”.
