Following the recent fires in Norfolk, please avoid the #NorfolkCoastPath at Brancaster and the circular walk at Snettisham until they have been marked as safe. The fire has gone over the Coast Path at Brancaster - damage will be assessed when it is safe to do so.
It's still hot and dry. We've had a lot of wildfires in Norfolk the past few days.
If you spot a wildfire, get to a safe distance from the blaze and phone 999, giving your location, we will deal with the fire safely.
Never try to extinguish a wildfire yourself.
Today on the blog we look at accessibility across the coast. Here's a recent surface improvement @NorfolkTrails carried out on the National Trail at Skelding Hill, providing a predictable, level and clear walking route. Read more at https://t.co/TQc4XUJi3z
After the devastating fire in #Stiffkey this week, remember the #CountrysideCode: don't light fires in the countryside (incl. BBQs) and take litter home - glass bottles are dangerous if left in sunny areas. Follow @ForestryComm's advice if you find a wildfire 👇

May brings us #nationalwalkingmonth - an amazing time of year to enjoy nature and our beautiful county's walks. Bluebells are a joy to see when out exploring at the moment, such as these ones at Lower Wood, Ashwellthorpe, nestled beside the #KettsCountryTrail
@jfmwym Hello, the Trails team continue to maintain signage, strengthen interpretation and review our network. We will be implementing the normal three cuts as per current cutting contract. 2023 will see a retendering of the contract which will be reviewed to mitigate the rising costs.
Such a beautiful view taken by our National Trail Officer on the Coast Path at Sheringham yesterday. The colours are amazing at the moment with everything coming to life - perfect for enjoying some outdoors time 👣
