I have 8+ years of work experience in accounting, FP&A and strategic planning. Although I'm open to other types of permanent positions, I'm mostly seeking work as a finance manager or senior finance manager. You can find my LinkedIn profile here:

100 billionaire families spent $2.6 billion in the 2024 election.
70% of these donations went to Republicans.
Now, Republicans in Congress are gearing up to slash essential programs to pay for another round of tax cuts for the rich.
This is what oligarchy looks like.
Do I worry that I might not have the same reach on Threads as on X?
No. I'm not a celebrity or influencer, so I don't really worry about reach (I have less than 300 followers currently). I like X, but I'm concerned about the direction it's taking. I like Threads also. It's cool.
Do I plan to use Threads mostly from here on out?
Yes. The more frequently I post there, the more I'll get used to it. It's different from X and actually better in some ways. Plus, anyone can read my posts there if they'd like.

Am I going to begin using Threads more often?
Yes. I think I'll be doing more posts there now that it seems like Elon Musk is pulling X hard-right and spreading disinformation to support Trump. This is his right (he owns X after all), but we as users don't have to put up with it.
Do I plan to use Threads instead of X at some point?
Yes. Possibly. X is Elon Musk's site and it's pretty clear where he stands in terms of who he supports in the contest between fascism (you-know-who) and our democracy (Harris-Walz).
Elon Musk owns X, so he's free to do with it as he pleases. However, the rest of us of course are free to do as we please also (for now). If X becomes too fascist, I'll begin using Threads instead. My account there is:

Would I follow the World Series if the Mariners made it to the Fall Classic?
Yes. Definitely. Mariners, Dodgers, Mets. Those are the teams I'd follow at least somewhat if they're in the World Series.
Have I been getting up more frequently lately in the middle of the night?
Yes. Part of that is the election. Part of that was the World Series. Usually, I just try to get back to sleep. If I don't, however, I really don't think it's too big a deal as long as it's not a habit.
Do I like the Dodgers?
Yes. Although I rarely follow MLB these days, I like the Dodgers (mostly because I grew up in LA) and am glad they won the World Series.
When am I moving out?
I don't know. Although I'd prefer to stay in Seattle, I'm willing to relocate for work. Otherwise, my lease ends in May, so (barring something unforeseen) the earliest I'd move would probably be June 2025.
Should anyone other than rent-paying tenants, guests of tenants and employees of the property management company (Arboreal) be in this building?
No. As I've posted numerous times, this isn't a public space. These apartments are private residences. People pay money to live here.
Am I moving out of this apartment the first chance I get?
Yes. My apartment isn't bad, but it's small. Also, I'm not wild about the possibility that randos come into this building to make thudding noises then leave. Etc.
Kamala Harris has fought crime during much of her career. She knows who Donald Trump really is and I suspect she isn't given to exaggeration or panic. Donald Trump really is that horrible and would put our democracy in peril if elected. It's that simple. There's no doubt. None.
Do I think Donald Trump would turn our country into a dictatorship if given the chance?
Yes. There's no doubt he would. If you don't believe that or if you think people are taking what he says too seriously, (with respect) you aren't paying enough attention.
He tried to end our democracy once. That's a fact. He was willing to leave his own vice-president, Mike Pence, to the mob because he wouldn't take part in the plan he concocted to overturn a free and fair election and effectively nullify the votes of 81 million Americans.
I've been doing good mornings instead, which work fine. It's a lot less weight and I'm not lifting anything too heavy with my left shoulder. As I've posted, I'm not passionate about fitness, but I do think staying healthy is important and worth the investment in time and effort.
Have I stuck with my plan to stay clear of deadlifts?
Yes. I really liked deadlifts, but (although I think my left shoulder might be able to handle it) I don't want to take the chance with heavy deadlifts after my shoulder replacement.
