Videos analyzed by The New York Times appear to contradict the accounts of federal officials in the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis:

• Federal officials said he approached agents with a handgun in intent to “massacre” them
• Video footage shows him stepping between a woman and an agent who is pepper spraying her
• The agents then pepper spray him while he’s holding a phone in one hand and nothing in the other — then pull him to the ground
• Per The New York Times: “His concealed weapon was found only after he was restrained on the sidewalk.”
