@sharrond62 I totally agree. I was taught whilst age in single figures. I've had great fun, including sailing.
Sadly, in some locations where there's been recent tragedies, the water will quickly overwhelm some swimmers.
Parents & individuals must take responsibility to ensure they are safe.

@rosie_wrighting The problem goes back to your man Blair. He was obsessed to get people into universities. Student loans, too many courses available - some in absolutely useless subjects. There was no thought on the best course to get a decent job at the end of it.

I get very annoyed about many people's glib attitude to taking the mick out of Christians and Jews.
There are other Faiths where the majority will not dare subject them to the slightest bit of humour.

@FrDidymus Waste disposal, of which recycling is a part, needs a holistic review. Councils use the big stick, but most want to recycle anyway, not just as an income stream. Make the whole process user-friendly and convenient.
