Parents - I would recommend looking at this website for past grade boundaries. It may help you motivate your child for the Paper3 tomorrow. https://t.co/SQRKvC4TKV
@GavinWilliamson@NASUWT@Conservatives@UKLabour@aqa@PearsonEdexcel Gavin - you said the exams are cancelled. They’re not. I’m doing “assessments” with my Y11 and Y13. I’m marking them, not being paid extra. My school has paid the exam boards - where’s the money gone?
@Just_Maths It’s a bug of mine when heads say things like “what grade is that” - any graded topic list is made up. I’ve been teaching for 30+ years and can use my professional opinion about how good a mathematician a student is but this - just no!
@MissHudsonHist@MissDyniaethau It’s the waiting for synchronisation to finish that’s killing me. 😒Don’t worry about your lesson too much, it’s new for us all. My 30 years experience in the classroom is meaning nothing now I’m all remote teaching.
@MissDyniaethau@MissHudsonHist If you’re using teams you can open teams on your phone and photograph directly into the shared folder or even OneNote as I’m using as it’s a good replacement to a smart board but you do need a pen tablet of some sort because writing with a mouse is awful.
I am really worried that teachers are throwing themselves into totally live timetables (potentially mandated by SLT) for 5 periods a day and that this is going to lead to a huge burnout later in the 1/2 term.
A senior NHS consultant texts:
“Why not vaccinate all teachers in time for return to school on 18 jan? A box of Astra Zeneca vaccine to every school. It would only take days but what a great start to the year to know that all teachers were safe.”
@Andrew_Adonis@Ofstednews I’ve been a teacher for 30 years and have never read something as outrageously rude as your tweet. Parents & pupils are coping with a scary situation and trying to help their child, in many cases where there is no equality of resources. Teachers are trying - you’re not helping.
@FakeHeadteacher When I was SLT (stepped down) our meetings were always 3.30 to 6. The only reason they stopped then was due to the site team locking the school. We also had SLT every morning 8-8.40. Pointless and never time to do the actions planned.
