@TrainMaster_36@Astro_Eggcelent Ok fair...had to go back and watch it and i cant help but think that whoever told those kids omitted the gritty details to spare them the despair oh knowing how bad it went. Just "Luke showed up and saved the rebels" with no mention of the casualties
@Astro_Eggcelent That or being born in China...basically at any point that would let you see the rise of the CCP in 1949. There's probably a half dozen other equivalents too
@TrainMaster_36@Astro_Eggcelent Counterpoint...did the Galaxy at large learn that he died from that? Or that the resistance was seemingly cut down to a dozen dudes tops? Idk bout you but hearing any version of "Yeah that shit went worse the Hoth and Luke died" would completely undo any good Luke's stunt did imo
@Astro_Eggcelent Frankly support for galactic scale government as a whole should be gone. If you were born the same time as Anakin you'd be 76 and would have seen the Republic, Empire, New Republic AND First Order all die
Both Republic and imperial systems failed twice...why try a 3rd of either?
@xxxxLegolasxxxx@found_it_funny I heard the original idea was the Death star was gonna be around kashyyik so instead of Ewoks we'd have wookies... a wookie uprising beating the piss out of the stormtroopers is a LOT cooler idea and makes more sense then Ewoks
@ironcrakka The one thing that always made it make sense is that most planets were like Ryloth. That is to say theres one city that matters and as long as you held that city you defacto owned the planet
@Wanigearsolid@GalaDev3 While I agree a E-100 would atomize an A7v i cant help but think there would be a group of people who go "big = tough" and complain that it shouldnt be that weak
@wild_cat144 That said I feel like a LOT of battles are gonna be like Ryloth which iirc was basically "take out some AA guns so we can land then march on the capital" star wars DOES have a fairly low population for how big it is so I wouldn't be surprised if this was the norm
@wild_cat144 Somebody should make a chart of TCW that covers where everyone was and roughly how long each episode took. Off the top of my head we have at least 3 full arcs showing the full invasion of planets so...maybe we can use those to guesstimate how long a battle lasts on average?
@hell00qwerty@Basedgoymemes I mean your not wrong but I assume we're all in agreement that "how much money and influence you have" is not exactly 1 to 1 with a system that literally predates Feudalism
@BoyishGirlie They HAD a MIC who the hell do you think was making all the blasters and spaceships? Just because there hasnt been a major war in 1000 years doesn't mean minor wars, rebellions and pirates didn't exist to keep demand up. Besides...gear needs to be replaced doesnit not?
@Helldivers_NOW Useful. This is unironicly the BEST chaff clearing strat in the game. All it really takes is a bit of situational awareness and knowing when to toss it out....so ya know...not surprised most dont like this and the airburst
@Big_Zam_Vlad What the republic had wasnt peace...it was quiet. A direct IRL comparison would be the 100ish years between the Napoleonic wars and ww1. Small wars happened in Europe during that time but it wasnt until ww1 that a single war DOMINATED daily life. Its almost a direct parallel imo
@SMcloughli24864 I can understand the Midwest.....fiefs? being big cause...its mainly fields of corn and whatnot....but a LOT more should look like Michigan and New england. Like wasn't "the thing" with the HRE was that basically any town that could assert itself was independent?
@basedbinkie Id arguenits worse for swords because theres NO WAY a handforged sword is gonna be exactly the same. Hell even if its factory made it'll need time to be broken in
@Josher1120917 @Joovict34088088 According to the guy who played Starkiller from one of the games and Darth Maul in the animated shows the "best way" is episode 4 then 1, 2 the clone wars cartoon then 3 then back for 5 and 6.
There's issues and spoilers but...its a novel way to watch if nothing else
