North Shore CDC invests in neighborhoods to create thriving communities. We envision a North Shore where every neighborhood is one of choice and opportunity.
Amazing time yesterday celebrating the 10th anniversary of YouthBuild North Shore, with many #SalemMA and Lynn supporters and program graduates, and inspirational remarks from alumni and the CEOs of @NorthShoreCDC and @YouthBuildUSA.

Tonight is a Community Meeting about the proposed Shetland Park Redevelopment at @SalemAcademyCS Gym at 6:00 PM. Your voice is crucial because the proposal could change the very make up of the Point neighborhood, which has been historically a low-income, immigrant community 1/X
Currently, there are just over 1100 apartments in the Point. Only 30% of those are deed restricted affordable housing, but most of the remaining real estate is naturally occurring affordable housing. The proposal was originally for 1,400 market rate apartments 2/X

Returning the favor! Earlier this month i stopped by the Youth Build North Shore.I told them i was eager for them to visit the People’s House. This week our youth at @YBNorthShore visited my office to advocate for funding for YB programs and to share the impact the programs had on their lives. I was proud to join my colleagues @RepAndyVargas@BrotherChris617 @JessicaGiannino in welcoming them and to have a roundtable conversation about our paths to our current roles.
Shout out to my high school classmate Shantel Fernandez who also joined our young people on their visit. She's doing great work in our community through her impactful work at @NorthShoreCDC !
Wednesday, November 22nd, Mayor Pangallo's office will be hosting its first Mobile Mayors Office at our community center, Espacio, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

It's always good to be on campus at @SalemState with our students through the @BerryIOP_SSU in civic discourse. I had the pleasure of serving on an informative panel that featured: My high school classmate Shantel Alix of the @NorthShoreCDC t and my former rockstar intern Camilla. As part of Latino Heritage Month observation this panel, titled Votar es Poder (Voting is Power), emphasized the importance of civic engagement, voting, service to others, organizing, and advocacy in the Latino community.
I appreciated the opportunity to talk about my journey from Student Government at Salem State and the foundational steps I took on my career towards public service and advocacy. Thank you to the IOP team for the invitation to share my perspective and to the students for an engaging morning of civic discourse.
HUD has awarded these grants to non-profit organizations across the country to support the creation and rehabilitation of affordable multifamily rental housing and project-based rental assistance for low-income seniors.
Tonight I had the privilege of attending a patio party hosted by the @NorthShoreCDC, where we met Saniego Sánchez, the new director of the Punto Urban Art Museum, Mural depicting Point neighborhood activists. It was very pleasant, see the faces in paintings of Altagracia, Yamily!
Lots of joy at today’s @NorthShoreCDC Fiesta en la Calle! It was my honor to present the Community Hero Award to #SalemMA resident April Kigonya, a CDC Resident Ambassador for her tireless efforts supporting neighbors in the Point with food security, voting rights, and much more.
With lots of color, music, food, booths, murals and joy, another year of "Fiesta en La Calle" sponsored by the @NorthShoreCDC was celebrated, thanks to everyone who had to do with this great celebration, congratulations on the successful event!
