@SDegidon@SteveDeaceShow Good point. We can all put ourselves in the place of the guilty Barabbas, who deserved justice for his (our) sin but gained reprieve through Gods mercy by Jesus’ death. Gods infinite capacity for justice AND mercy would be a biblical argument against capital punishment.
Amazing. Chuck Todd says Trump deploying Guard without Newsom’s approval is first time it's happened "since segregation," when feds had to force states to desegregate. He then adds: "That’s not exactly the type of history I think anybody wants to see us repeating."
Wait — which part of that history don’t you want repeated, Chuck? Enforcing civil rights? Or the federal government stepping in when state leaders refused?
Of course, what Todd’s actually doing is casually and reflexively trying to tie Trump to the villainous Southern governors — when the analogous role is obviously Newsom here. And that's just *one* of the dumb things in the podcast.
@msmHypocrisy@devorydarkins@abbydphillip Reminded me of the scene in Billy Madison when Chris Farley was telling Adam Sandler about how he hooked up with Bridgette Wilson’s character. Pretty pathetic on both counts.
@Coach_Janssen@emilynaughton_@ihsindians 47 and DONE. Central played at a high level when the stakes were high against an excellent team. What a great team win!
@david_habsburg@EricLDaugh I think that when the senator begins the question, the clock should start. When the bloviating and grandstanding is complete and the question is finally asked, the clock should stop and the nominee gets to answer, uninterrupted, until the clock runs back to 0:00.
@TheDon2174@TheStingisBack I remember Costner saying I. A interview that the movie is about “the things that go unsaid between fathers and sons”. That hits it right on the head.
@obxpilot23@KirkHerbstreit That was my first thought, too. If you fined an athletic department a quarter mil, half mil or heck—1 mil, you won’t see too many of these flag plantings going forward.
