@SMickey65012@cafreiman It's interesting that this analysis doesn't mention how many jobs he's created and how far wealth has been distributed because of him.
@Amy_Siskind Imagine believing that Elon Musk hasn't done anything to benefit others, then imagine being so brain warped that you tweet this out to thousands of people as if it were true.
bro immigrated from Mexico and took a $28/hr contract welding job in 2015.
didn't even know what SpaceX was.
they gave him $10,000 in stock and let him buy more through payroll deductions.
that stake is now worth $880,000.
and he's one of 4,400 employees who became millionaires on Friday. welders. technicians. cafeteria staff.
@MattHMajn@tetsuoai Nothing in the tweet above references a reason why Musk cannot make money and be rich. That's his choice and there isn't anything you can say to dispute that. Wealth isn't a speed zone where you say "do not go past this amount."
History's first trillionaire is a guy who catches rockets out of the sky with chopsticks and beams internet to every dead zone on the planet.
Same guy ships cars that drive themselves, humanoid robots for the factory floor, brain chips that let paralyzed people move a cursor with pure thought, and an AI running on a supercomputer his team stood up in months instead of years.
And the people crashing out about his net worth are doing it on the app he owns. The same app governments spent years trying to censor.
You cannot legislate a rocket into orbit.
@merlisa@JoshReynolds24@octopusdrumming Your political party is so broken over Donald Trump that they are electing someone who thought a Nazi tattoo was cool to own the Conservatives.
Sit the fuck down
@observedidiocy@sunnyright@EWErickson How about you just don't defend a Nazi symbol regardless of how vague you may think it is?
(hint: it's in a few movies so it's not vague).
Seems like good common ground to meet at.
