getting mad that the odyssey movie didn’t include stuff from the iliad is honestly so beyond stupid. it’s almost as if the iliad and the odyssey are TWO SEPARATE BOOKS and TWO SEPARATE PARTS OF A STORY that were fused into an omnibus for the sake of laziness and convenience

like idk i didn’t think the odyssey was JUST for adults but i guess considering there’s at least one sex scene, children or anyone under the age of 18 shouldn’t be exposed to that 🤷

maybe because movies and shows had gone so long without showing full nudity or sex scenes and just had the characters share a cigarette to signify the fact that they slept together, and it still got the point across. there’s no need to try and desensitize younger people to that
