Ibn al-Qayyim:
• When someone reads the Quran with reflection and comes across a verse their heart needs for healing, they should repeat it - even a hundred times, even the whole night
• Reading 1 verse contemplating is better than finishing the whole Quran without pondering

My last Ramadhān entry was in 2024. Somehow, last year passed without one… Then again, this blog nearly slipped my mind as well.

Imam Gazali says, “A person becomes a slave of the words they speak, but a master of the words they leave unspoken.”
Restraint is a form of strength, and the true skill is not in saying everything we think but in knowing what to withhold.
The older I get, the more I realize: barakah is everything. One pot of food feeds a gathering. One paycheck covers more than it should. One hour does the work of 7. One workout gives energy all day. One du'ā changes what effort could never. One good deed turns into many. One piece of furniture lasts 3 generations. Seek barakah. Allāh handles the rest.
Abu al-Darda’ رضي الله عنه said:
"Death is sufficient as an admonisher, and time is sufficient as a separator; today in the houses, tomorrow in the graves."

📌Being Selective about Going Out
It is reported that Imām Mālik said to one of his companions:
Do not leave your house a lot, except for something that you must do. And do not sit in a gathering in which you do not benefit some knowledge.
