@TheAthleticNBA Can you lefties hire a Hawks beat reporter already? Yall employ so many NBA writers and there is maybe one or two who have knowledge of/are aware of what actually goes on inside the Hawks organization.
@sammcbucketts@ChesterEugene@BTRowland I see the vision there. No Saddiq means forward depth is lacking yet again. Plenty of other low cost options out there if he is not brought back. I’m just praying Ressler lets Landry cook. Not saying to dip deep into the luxury tax but enough to give Trae the pieces he needs.
@sammcbucketts@ChesterEugene@BTRowland I mean he’s going to be unavailable for more than half of this upcoming season at minimum. Maintaining hold of his Bird rights into next summer would be nice though
@sammcbucketts@ChesterEugene@BTRowland Saddiq is a fine player but there is no question we saw him at his worst this past season. If they bring him back on a reasonable deal cool, but I think a change of scenery for Bey is much more likely
ATL has been serious in its pursuit of adding more size this season. After adding a 6'10 wing with the first pick, they get a 6'8 guard in Dyson Daniels. Daniels, Jalen Johnson, and Risacher is a nice group of perimeter defenders to build with.
If the decision is to move Dejounte (understandable) then flip him and maybe AJ Griffin for somebody like Herb Jones. Lord knows the Hawks could use a Herb Jones..
Young, Murray, Risacher, Johnson, Capela
Bench: Bogdanovic, Okongwu, Bufkin, Griffin
Add a stretch five, target 2-3 guards/wings whose main strength is point of attack defense, and dump Hunter to whoever the fuck wants him.
4th or 5th seed in the East should be obtainable
@V_bergs@b_outliers It’s mid-June. If youre ready to hit the panic button now then you are soft ass baby shit. AA will add Tommy Pham, a bullpen piece or two, and maybe even a backend SP. Just make the playoffs and we can go from there.
