My interpretation of the Normal MV is somewhat similar. I remember Yoongi once talking about this in a documentary, how people assume that their lives as celebrities are always glamorous, like they’re out partying and living it up every day. But in reality, they’re often just exhausted, drained to the point where they don’t even have the energy to enjoy any of it. He also mentioned that what is considered “normal” for the general public, the ordinary, everyday experiences, is something relatively unfamiliar to them, while their lifestyle remains distant and difficult for others to fully comprehend. I think both the MV and the song are built around the contrast between perception and reality, and how “normal” can mean completely different things depending on your life. They emphasize the disconnect between external perception and lived reality, suggesting that “normal” is not a fixed concept but one shaped by individual circumstances and environments. The narrative appears to critically reflect on how societal assumptions can obscure the more complex, and often less glamorous, truths behind public personas.
